Hello, I moved out March 31st 2025. I paid my last electric and water bill dated 3/20/25 - 4/20/25. I was then sent another bill in May from *** for over 100 bucks. I called and called and called to figure out why this was left in my name and why I am responsible for paying this. ****** was extremely rude and extremely unreasonable causing me to lose my cool. Long story short she emailed me telling me they did leave the Bill in my name and they went into the apartment on 5/13/25 and started cleaning the unit, resulting in them using electricity and water. They are responsible for the bill. *** wont talk to me because its the apartments responsibility to manage this account not mine. The bill was due 6/8/25 and it is still in my name and i refuse to pay it. They are not answering my emails and i refuse to call and speak to ****** again. Any help?

The residents lease was in effect through May 24, 2025.Although the resident chose to vacate and return keys on March 31, 2025, no early termination was agreed upon, and the lease remained active through the original end date. The resident paid rent through May 24, and as is standard with our leases and utility provider (NEP), utility responsibility also remains with the resident through the lease term.

NEP bills residents based on actual usage for electric and water service. While there was likely minimal or no usage in April and early May due to the unit being unoccupied, our staff began preparing the unit for turnover starting May 13, ahead of the next residents move-in. The increased usage that appeared on the May bill reflects this activity.

Recognizing that this usage was not caused by the resident,we made a reasonable and documented exception: the resident was released from utility responsibility beginning May 13, 2025, and we assumed the utility charges from that date through the lease end on May 24.

As of the date the resident submitted this complaint, we had already communicated this clearly via email to both NEP and the resident. The resident is only responsible for usage through May 12, which reflects the lease terms and actual consumption during that time.

We respectfully disagree with the residents description of our interaction. When he called our office, he immediately began yelling, using profanity, and calling ****** derogatory names from the moment the call was connected. ****** remained professional throughout the conversation and attempted to explain the situation calmly and respectfully. However, we understand that disputes can become frustrating, and we regret if the resident felt the interaction was less than satisfactory.

We have no record of any unanswered emails from the resident following our written explanation of this matter. That response remains accurate and complete, and we consider this issue closed unless further documentation is requested.

I got into a car accident on Friday March, 15, 2024. I went to the office at the ********* ****** ********** asking for a temporary or new pass for my rental. They told me no and that I had to park in visitors. I am not a visitor, I pay rent. I was injured in the accident and couldn't really walk. Visitor parking is far away. I got home Sunday March 17, 2025 at 10 P.M. and there was no visitor parking so I parked by my door... my rental was towed. I told them they can take it off my rent or give me a check because I am not paying for this because I live here I should be able to park where my car is visible. They said no it's policy. I have never heard of that.. if I am paying rent I should be able to park by my door.

On Friday March 15, 2024, ****** ******* came to the
********* ****** leasing office to inquire about a temporary parking permit. She
explained she had been in an accident and her car had been totaled. She was
informed that we do not offer temporary parking permits, per our policy. She
was then advised to park her rental in visitor parking until such time she
would be able to get her parking permit from her vehicle. She agreed to do so
      with no further complaints.

Two days later, she chose to park her rental in resident parking
with no permit, fully aware of our towing policy. Her vehicle was towed in
accordance with our towing company contract, which states any vehicle parked in
resident parking is required to have a parking permit.

While we do empathize with her situation, we are unable to
provide any rental discounts nor any reimbursement as a result of the towing.
She worked with our office to come to a resolution as to where her rental should
be parked and chose to deviate from that arrangement. However, in light of
additional details regarding her injuries sustained during the accident, we
would be happy to work with Mariah to figure out a solution that will allow her
to park near her apartment moving forward, but do not agree to any refunds or
      deductions.

      Thank you,

We have not accused Ms. ****** of making late payments. We do send out renewal offers in advance and she did indicate that she did not intend to renew her lease. Maintenance entered her apartment to complete repairs that she requested. Ms. ****** was assessed a fine for trash that she left on the ground outside of the compactor. She did deny leaving the trash but was sent a photograph to her of the trash with her name visible. Upon moving out, the window was found to be cracked on the inside and did require replacement. A third party window company completed the replacement and the cost was charged back to the resident in accordance with her lease agreement. Photos of the broken window and the replacement invoice are available upon request.

Thank you so very much for helping me try to resolve an issue That's pretty much my word against theirs. I would never damage anyone's property. The false statements that they continue to make against my person is very depressing. I did not leave my trash out. I was threatened that if I didn't pay $100 that they would never accept the remaining rent for my lease. I cannot understand what I've done to this company to make them continue to hold to such a lie. I did not damage anyone's property. I'm not accepting that claim. And I'm still demanding the remainder of my deposit return to me immediately.

      Thank you. BBB

********. To whom it may concern, at the BBB, I do not accept the accusation that I damaged any property at all. I'm still demanding the remainder of my deposit to be returned. Secondly, I did not again leave my trash outside of compactor. My trash was put in the compactor on a Thursday morning and Saturday they sent me a picture of trash. I did not. They threatened if I didn't pay $100, they would not accept any more rent for me for the remainder of my lease. It's depressing. So depressing. that these people continue to accuse me of something I did not do. Now I know why they did not want to do a walk-through If I could I would have moved out a second day but had to complete my lease.
