      I called **** ***r, who sent out Lewis Center-Powell Heating & Air, after our A/C unit stopped working and they came out the next day. After a while the technician, Scott, told me that our A/C unit was dead and that our furnace was the same age, and that hooking a new A/C unit up to an old furnace would shorten both systems' lifespans. He told me there was oil on the underside of the fan blades which was indicative of other problems. He also said our duct work was too small which would shorten the lifespan of any systems. The quote for replacing both units, with a discount, was over $12,000, and he said duct work would be $10,000+. I called another HVAC company for a second opinion the next day and in addition to not seeing any oil at all on the fan blades, the technician was able to fix it with a simple capacitor replacement for $168, which is one of the first things a competent HVAC professional knows to check on an A/C. Lewis Center-Powell Heating & Air's technician stood in my home and literally lied to my face, even telling me their estimate was only good for a few days, trying to get thousands of dollars out of me as quickly as possible. Run away.
