They told us 2 to 3 weeks to repair our truck. They have been paid by Allstate Insurance. We took the truck to them Nov 25. Dec 19, 2024 we were told the week after Christmas. We still do not have our vehicle back and Shawn hung up on us today.

Vehicle has been finished and returned to customer 1/8/2025.  Customer was pleased with the repairs that were done.  We sincerely apologized again for the lengthy hold-ups, and again explained that we were heavily delayed by the insurance company.

I had my truck taken into Pennys Auto Body for rear end damage after job was completed I went to pay what I owe and collect my keys. After I looked over the repairs I got into my truck and noticed speed odometer broken. Notified the employee and didnt have much to say nor did not want to fix the issue.

I have attached documentation showing all the operations
included for me to take the gauge cluster apart to remove the needle, which
would total about 6 hrs of labor.  I have
also attached several instances of speedometer/tachometer needles falling off
of the same year truck, proving that this is a known issue.  Neither myself or my crew were inside the
vehicle taking anything apart.  The only
times we were ever inside the vehicle was to move it around the shop during
repairs.  Also, seeing that this is a known
issue, while unfortunate that it happened while it was in my shop, it was going
to happen no matter where it was, or who was in it.  While I understand the customer’s
frustration, this damage was not caused by us, and is not our responsibility to
fix.  I will gladly answer any questions
or concerns that anyone has, but the speedometer needle falling off was not
related to the accident, or the repairs that were done in our shop.  Thank you

Consumer stated they have been in contact with multiple dealerships that deal with their specific truck and were informed that there are no recalls and have not been any recorded issues with the needle/speedometer. Believes the business is responsible for repair as this occurred in their possession.

I have attached another copy of our estimate, and again, the
several instances of the same problem, with the text this time.  As you can see from the estimate, we did no
work inside of the cab of the vehicle.
The bed was removed, and we were only inside of it to move it around the
shop.  Just because there are no recalls
for something, doesn’t mean there isn’t a known problem.  Given the age of the vehicles, and the
relative mileage, they were definitely out of warranty, so dealerships nor the
manufacturer will take responsibility for an issue like this.  They will blame it on age and wear.  Also, I have found several videos showing how
to replace the needle, and ads to buy the needles individually.  These resources would not be available if
there wasn’t a known issue.  Again, while
I understand the customer’s frustration, this was not a result of the repairs
that were done in our facility.  It’s
just a coincidence that it happened to be here when it happened, but it would
      have happened.  Thank you
