I bought a truck from Ohio Truck Sales in January of 2024 for 75k cash. The transaction was online. I didn't go into the dealership personally. The sales agent was named ********. She sent pics and videos but none shown the defects of the truck and once the truck was delivered she told me if I had any problems with the truck she would take care of it. Thr truck was delivered with the check engine light one, faulty sensors. Ac didn't work, brake drums were faulty, dash is cracked, doors dont lock, wet kit not operable, exhaust leak. I haven't been able to haul one load with the truck yet because it's so many issues with the truck. I finally was able to speak to a manager and they refused to help with the ac or anything. They gave me $1000 on a $3000 fix and this was when I first received the truck...but now they say that they won't help with anything else and I can't haul a load with the truck. I want my money back or they need to help fix the issues or I need legal help.Business Response

Mr. ***** reached out to Ohio Truck Sales shortly after his
purchase to communicate issues. Ohio Truck Sales also encourages all
customers to visit the dealership to do their own visual inspection prior to
any purchase, which Mr. ***** chose not to do. Ohio Truck Sales and Mr.
***** came to an agreement and Ohio Truck Sales provided financial support for
an agreed upon amount. The issues being stated now were not present at

I am rejecting this response because: I spoke directly with ******** who was the salesperson. I told her that I was in **************** and I would b purchasing online and I would need it delivered. I asked for pics and videos and upon receiving the truck thru delivery so many issues she didn't tell me about. Both locks on the tool compartments were missing, the passenger door didn't lock and the check engine light was on, the truck overheated on me and the ac didn't work and I reached out to her about it and she told me that the ac worked when it was there. I took the truck to a certified mechanic and he said the compressor was leaking and it had to b leaking for a while. I didn't notice the ac wasn't working because it was still winter when the truck was delivered. I had to replace sensors immediately after delivery and I'm still having issues with this truck. I want to return the truck for a refund because I have been unable to pull a load since I purchased the truck. I spent over 70k cash for a truck with too many issues.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because: their were issues that were present before the truck was delivered. The ac did not work. The truck overheated. We came to an agreement on the first issue from the initial delivery of the truck. I received the truck during January when it was still the season of winter. Once I turned the ac on it didn't blow cold and I took it to a certified mechanic. I still don't know why the truck is overheating and like I stated I paid ***** cash for this truck and it's a shame that they are not trying to help fix the issues. I am rejecting this response because the salesman withheld information that she should have shared. I bought the truck online and if I knew of these issues I would not had bought it. It's too many issues going on with this truck to where I can't put it to work

I bought a kenworth w900 from ots. 3 hours after going down the road I found oil leaking out of my rear diff, I called ots and informed them about the issue even have texts to prove this I had to stop at a shop to patch it up to at least get it home. At the moment I needed to handle the issue at hand to get home and not blow a rear. I kept calling them trying to find a resolution but the sales manager says to me her words "if it happened on the way home we would if fixed it" IT DID! She further explained this to the OWNER and he had absolute zero care about me or fixing the issue..ok so after all of this I will run down the list of issues hole in rear, all 8 air bags dry rotted, hub seals and wheel seals, new cat wire harness, transmission clutch and flywheel, sleeper leaking water and mold all over inside the cab, fan hub cab mounts motor mounts both front shocks all rear shocks and shock housings, had to get new stacks, stack brackets and exhaust arms, y pipe, not to mention the work is still not done when it rains the truck leaks all over the place I have asthma and there's mold all over the truck under the vit interior and plastics...out of all these problems the only one that I would say I could of inspected myself and found was the Fifthwheel being way to high and needing replacement, how would I be able to inspect any of these other problems? They paint over everything so u see none of the flaws the owner is absolutely sick for what he does. The fact that I'm a first time owner op and they charged me 96k for this absolute junk truck that belongs in the junkyard is insane then you call for some help with the repairs and the answer you get from the sales manager is "the owner has no interest in helping you" is an absolute disgrace. I'm looking further into legal action I have my case together now and I don't care if it's a buy here pay here deal this here is absolutely insane and the lawyer agrees. You will be hearing from me this is not overBusiness Response

A month ago I went to OTS to purchase a truck. Well the one I wanted was a fail. I should’ve left at that point. So I looked at a few others. What I was mainly looking for was rebuilt engines and drivetrains. Not a death trap! Wasn’t able to inspect the truck outside due to weather. Asked if I could inspect inside. Wasn’t allowed to. Was never suggested to take it to an off site shop to let them inspect it. So I did what I could weather permitting.
The shop at OTS spent 3 days trying to get this truck to run correctly. They really didn’t accomplish much, and if the tech had any intelligence at all, he would’ve done a better job. Obviously no one there is ASE certified and has no business working on or around vehicles. So I had to do improvements on the truck myself after I got it home.
Finally got my truck to my company I’m leasing to after OTS dragged their feet sending paperwork to the finance company. We tried to get a DOT inspection done, failed! OTS thinks laws don’t apply to them, like Fed. DOT inspections that a dealer is supposed to do so the truck is safe and legal to operate. They never did that.
I brought a trade in and was going to use the offered amount as the down payment $20k. They didn’t apply that to the $71k asking price. So they stole my trade in.
Been going back n forth with OTS to have the issues fairly resolved. Obviously they don’t care about their customers or reputation.
Being OTS is being uncooperative and insulting, they will be getting sued and put out of business after I’m done with them.
DO NOT GO THERE TO BUY A TRUCK!!!
YOU CAN PUT LIPSTICK ON A PIG…it’s still a pig in a junkyard!Business Response

Attn BBB:
In response to this complaint, Ohio Truck Sales did not "steal" the customers trade-in. It was used as his down payment. OTS also offered a reimbursement to assist with the expenses mentioned.

They've offered no resolution. I was sold a tractor with a tampered DPF emissions. The Federal and Ohio EPA advised that it is illegal to sell in this condition regardless of who committed the deletion. I've also made a formal complaint with the Ohio Attorney General and now will proceed with legal action.

I filed an initial claim, the company stated they wanted to work to fix the issue. To repair the issue cost 31, 690.00 the truck has been in Iowa since February 24th. Ohio Trucks offered $500.00 to correct the issue and that doesn't even cover travel, hotel expenses. I paid 50,000.00 cash, the truck didn't get me to Wyoming before it broke down, now I've spent 31,690.00 for repairs and I pick the truck up Thursday! Ohio Truck Sales has failed to make a fair and equitable payment to help cover the repair costs.

On 10/31 I traveled to OTS to trade trucks hoping to better myself while trusting a business that I believed was a legit and honest. Not once was I informed that I should've brought a mechanic and actually was told to only test drive the truck only a short distance. After refusing the first truck I thought I found one a little bit better, little did I know. All the time while making the deal I was told only what they wanted me to know while misleading me or twisting things around to keep me not knowing for sure what was happening.. I trusted them to do right by me but instead I feel cheated and left with a truck that I can't use.
After waiting for about 2 1/2 weeks I finally got the money that was owed me and should've left with a long with a title or paperwork to at least something to get plates with. So while may be able to use this truck maybe up to 3 months I'm still expected to make the payments this I must find another job just to make my payments along with my other bills. I feel like to do business with this place one must have a lawyer and a mechanic with to keep from being taken advantage of. With a list of repairs a mile long just to pass a DOT inspection before it can go on the road.
When I tried to get some information like interest rates or how the payments were figured alI i would get was I don't know .
After I finally got the truck home the hole passenger side of the truck was smeared with oil, the horns don't work because they were only half there, most all of everything repairs that I will have to make while having to find a job to finance the job I can't use in my yard. They said that they were going to make it right with me but I doubt they will.Business Response

To deliver a positive
and transparent experience, we provided *** access to assess multiple trucks on
our lot over the course of 2 days. This included allowing *** the freedom to
inspect trucks of his choice first-hand, inside and out, as well as test drive
trucks of interest. After *** selected a truck he decided to finance it through
Dakota Financial, LLC. As part of our funding process at the time of close
Dakota Financial explained to *** how the titling process works thru them as it
goes from the Ohio Truck Sales Bank, to Dakota Financial, and then to the State
of Minnesota. It was also explained at time of purchase that titles do not come
directly from Ohio Truck Sales to the customer during this transaction. We did
confirm that *** was able to leave the day of funding with copies of all of his
signed documents including Bill of Sale. Through the funding process *** also
overfunded by $2,000 so we submitted our internal check request to ensure he
was mailed a check for that amount, which we also confirmed was mailed and
received. It was also confirmed that Ohio Truck Sales mailed the title on
November 1st thru overnight delivery and was confirmed received by
Dakota Financial on November 2nd. Ohio Truck Sales also provided Tim
more than 5 calls post-sale to help answer Tim’s questions that he had about
Dakota Financial and his titling process, and also confirmed that *** had contact information for **** at Dakota Financial to make sure *** had the opportunity to get his questions answered directly from the organization where he financed.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: I expected this response to cover their tracks, how convenient. There are many others that they have done this to and don't really care about them either. They remove those reviews and pay others to put good reviews on their site to make themselves look good. All they care about is taking advantage of people and make it look like it's those people's fault. They also told me that they would make things right with me but instead they never reached out to me instead they quit taking my phone calls. I have a truck that I can't use until I get something to get license for this truck. I also had to wait for over 2 weeks for the money that I told them that I needed before I left there. I have excepted the truck as it is although it is in need of many repairs. With the money that they made off me and with good faith on my part they just turn their back on someone who trusted them. So whatever that happens I will keep telling everyone that this is a place to stay away from and they are far from being a legit dealership. So buyer be ware and should you chose to darken their doorstep make sure you bring a sertified mechanic and a really good lawyer to protect yourself from this kind of disgrace.
Sincerely,
*** ******
