Purchased on April 7 2025 a Norcold refrigerator model N8XFR that did not work at all, it was replaced on May 14 2005 by Norcold, this new unit also is defective and now they are refusing to repair it, replace it or refund the money. The entire process of installation and troubleshooting was done by Guy'mobile R.V. repair phone *** *** ****, also involved in this process is the seller, Spanky's rv and Marine *** *** ****, both are located in Parker az.Initial Complaint

APRIL 2024 I PURCHASED A REFRIG FOR THE BOAT. I HIRED A APPLIANCE PROFESSIONAL TO INSTALL THE REFRIG. HE WAS NOT ABLE TO GET THE MOTHER BOARD TO DISTRIBUTE THE SHORE POWER. THINKING THE MOTHER BOARD WAS BAD, HE ORDERED A REPLCEMENT. THE REPLACEMENT DID NOT WORK EITHER. I WOULD LIKE TO RETURN THE REFRIG, OR HAVE A NORCOLD TRAINED REPAIRMAN REPAIR.
I HAVE GONE ON LINE MANY TIMES VIA WEB SITE. NO ONE RETURNS THE QUESTIONS AND PROVIDES NO ANSWERS.

Purchased a Northwood Mfg. RV on 05/23/2023 at a cost of $46,800.00..Because of serious health issues [ Heart ] we were not able to use the unit until 10/04/24. The refrigerator would not work-Norcold Model #N8XF-Serial #NR07YKL-Group Code 220929.The dealer ******** ************. and the Manufacturer *********************. said they did not warranty appliances and it was out of warranty? I hired Bill Hall mobile RV service of Bend,Or. to come to my camp site to repair it.I feel he did a very thorough job.He said all the electronics were working correctly,green indicator light said everything OK-He said there was a blockage in the cooling tower [ mfg. defect ] could not be repaired. If this was just a matter of a few dollars I would not stress myself out but they want $3000.00 to replace the unit ! I emailed Norcold on 10/08,they acknowledged but have failed to contact me.It is a new unit, never used,manufacture defect, they should be required to replace it !!!!

Received a norcold n8x referidgerator to replace an older norcold referidgerator The new unit will not work at our 6000 feet above sea level.A complaint ticket has been opened.Norcold is looking for some other model or brand to replace the referidgerator.The referidgerator only works with the thermostat disconnected.The control unit locks up.Had to throw out food recently purchased.The design of the unit consumes a lot of utilities.Powering it on AC with a generator cost too much money.The unit has a heater in it that stays on 24/7.So consumes a lot of lp gas and solar electric.The ignighter system is a a random spark box.There is no sensor for flame out.The fuel solenoid is loose.Norcold says the control board is defective Not reliable above 5500 feet above sea level.We need a purely mechanical refrigerator.Current draw too high.Have to run generator often at substancial cost.We need all mountain RV to replace with an lp gas only unit.I am out of money till next month.all mountain RV is a good company.There have been fires with norcold refrigerators too many recalls high fuel consumption Design inefficentInitial Complaint

I bought a Norcold/Thetford refrigerator from West Marine in Minnetonka, MN 6/14/2023. I had it installed in my boat and used it for about two months before it started not cooling and ruining all my food. I called Norcold ************** and got a run around to find an authorized repairperson and was given a list of service people to call. Many of the businesses were no longer there or no longer serviced this product with Norcold. Norcold would not replace the fridge last year. This year I tried to start with trouble shooting again. Same run around and the only service places that still work with Norcold were all many hours' drive away. I took out the unit and had a local marine refrigerator repairman look at the unit. He noted the corrosion around the lines and determined it is most likely a leak. There should not be a leak on a unit this new. The cost to repair is more than the cost to replace. Norcold/Thetford will not replace it until an authorized Norcold serviceman will look at it. Norcold says that repair places can fill out a form to become authorized but none of them want to as tit is so difficult to get paid or paid at market labor for the warranty work. Now I am stuck with a bad refrigerator and am out over $1,000. This is terrible that they wont authorize a replacement and still know there are no close repair locations to work with and that the repair is more than a replacement.Initial Complaint

We purchased a Lance travel trailer with a Norcold Polar n7x refrigerator March 29, 2024. When we picked it up, we tested systems including the fridge. Fridge did not work at all on electric. (Works partly on LP, but either freezer is too warm (on 4) or fridge freezes food (on 5).)
Fridge has been to dealer (Colton RV in Orchard Park NY) and two different electric elements replaced. Neither solved the electrical issue. Colton RV tech guy was on the phone w Norcold several very long phone calls trying to resolve the issue. Norcold will not facilitate the replacement and keeps stalling even after their easy fixes do not work.
I want Norcold to step up and honor the fridge warranty and replace our obviously defective fridge.Initial Complaint

We purchased a 2021 camper in 2021. The camper has a Norcold N10DCSSL refrigerator with a 2 year warranty. The refrigerator as quit working after 2.5 years. I contacted Norcold and asked them to send me a part to fix it and if the part didn't work I would return it for a refund. They said they do not send out parts. I then asked for a discount on a new refrigerator and they declined to do that. I feel that a company should make a product that lasts more than 2.5 years. Norcold has already had a class action lawsuit against them for knowingly selling refrigerators with defective parts.Initial Complaint

Norcold refrigerator freezer works, refrigerator only goes down to 61 degrees. I took it in for warranty work, they said it works and said “operator error”. I got it back, it still does not cool enough in the refrigerated part. The refrigerator and trailer is a 2022. I’m going to have to pay $5k to replace it.Initial Complaint

My Norcold Fridge in my motorhome has already had the recall done. Well that poorly designed part got wet and shorted out. I called Norcold to seek a replacement part. I found a different part number. Online I called them to see if this is a replacement part for this recall. They would not give me any answers. Just complete run around. I called a RV dealership asked for the previous part number only to find out the new numbered part I found online Superseded the old one. The only reason I'm posting this is to show the ignorance of the company that built a dangerous product to not help the consumer. My last words where I will just let it burn down my motorhome and sue them. They did care what's so ever. I would like then to send me the replacement part. My Model is ********** Old recall Part Number ****** Serial# of Boiler *********.
