    I agree with other reviewers. PKW tries to scam their customers into replacing air/heat systems for no reason. I had their tech, Rick, out to clean my air fan outside. Before even doing so, he placed a gauge on the air vent above the furnace/air unit inside my house and shortly after proclaimed that I had a leak in a coil. Never did he go outside and take any measurement of my coolant pressure at the source, I don't know how you can diagnose a coil leak from an air vent inside the house. And little did he notice but I had closed that vent anyway. Claimed it would be cheaper to replace the air unit rather than try to repair the coil(s). Had the repair costs at his fingertips. How is that possible considering the make, model, and size of my unit was never investigated? The sales guy, Eric, was slick as well. Wanted me to spend over $7,000 on a new unit. Had all the reasons to support it with none of the facts. So, I got a second opinion/inspection. Turns out that there is nothing wrong with my current air unit. Tech and sales guys working together to scam their customers. When I tried to contact the head of the company, he won't return my calls.
    Tells me all anyone needs to know about the integrity of this company. Stay away from PK Wadsworth. I agree - This is not a 5 star company as BBB claims. If I could give a zero star review, I would as well.

    I do not recommend PK Wadsworth Heating & Cooling, which is located in Solon, Ohio. The technician did not drain the water from the furnace which resulted in banging throughout the evening hours and overnight and throughout the next morning and day. Consequently, the furnace did not work and I was extremely cold due to the cold temperatures at night and the next several days. The technician explained the expensive costs of new furnaces and accessories, but he couldn't even drain the water properly so that the furnace would work correctly. What if I had elderly parents who required heat for their survival? The technician should be ashamed of his incompetence. He took the check with no hesitation, yet he couldn't complete the services with professionalism. He provided an incomplete service. As a result, I was extremely cold for too long. I would like a sincere apology for the incomplete services and a call from a supervisor. Customers should not receive such horrible service from a heating and cooling company. Customers rely on heating and cooling companies to provide them with exceptional service. Heat is extremely important during cold temperatures.

    I walked down into my fully carpeted basement that was totally soaked due to an exploding water tank. The PK Wadsworth tech who came out within a couple of hours after the discovery was professional, but I feel he took advantage of my age and my ignorance of the situation. First I was told that the reason for the tank exploding and draining onto the entire basement floor was the age of the tank. (The date on it was late 2012 and it was installed into the house I had purchased in 2014.) Then he checked the water pressure and said it was low (60), it should have been 100 and he said that was what caused the tank to explode. But, he didn't write that on the report. To make matters worse, he took advantage of my ignorance of tanks and I was charged $2450. The tank looks older than the one I had. I looked up prices of tanks and they were well under $1000. As a senior, that price took a large chunk out of my savings. Will I have to decide whether I eat when I check my budget as the year continues. I am very disappointed with this company that has an A+ rating according to BBB and a customer review rating of 1.38/5. I wish that I had read the reviews and taken a little more time. I may not have had hot water for several days but I wouldn't have paid such a high price for a tank! To anybody out there looking for service, take the time and do your research. I wish that I had.

    I talked to Teresa ****** about an issue I had with P K Wadsworth a while ago.
    She was very professional and patient and listened responding appropriately .

    I can't get anyone to call me back. Left a request Sat. 12/17 in mid-afternoon, again Tues 12/20 first thing in the morning. Technicians are good, polite, helpful, but need "mother" following around after to remind them of basics: pick up their trash, turn off the lights, and turn back on the electricity! The last service call, the technician had the electricity off/on at the breaker box and left it OFF for the connection to my modem so that I lost my entire **** ******* NO TV, NO internet, NO landline. Because **** has poor service also, calling Saturday to report a problem with them meant I was going to be without ALL services until Monday afternoon for a tech appointment. Luckily a neighbor came over and figured it out, flipped the breaker switch and services were restored. I still don't have a callback from P.K. Wadsworth, let alone an apology.

    Tech came out, broke part of my furnace without tell me, talked about how old our system was, and demanded the service fee. I ended up repairing it myself after that ordeal…. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL Not surprised by these BBB reviews- Check out their yelp reviews for a more accurate picture.

    I requested a routine service under our preventative maintenance contract. Our HVAC system was running normally, but the technician said that the heat exchanger had hot spots, and the AC compressor needed to be replaced for a total cost of 8K. I then had a representative discuss the replacement costs for the furnace and heat pump, and received an initial quote of over 20K, finally reduced to 13K. I was not impressed by the high pressure tactics.
    I had another service organization check the system; they found NO problems with the heat exchanger or compressor.
