Three contracts with Procare: (1) 16 Nov 24: $1,728--remove medium tall fir tree & small tree [T1, T2]; trim two medium trees [T3, T4]; (2) 18 Nov 24: $10,250--Remove T3 & T4 & $10,000--Remove tall tree [T5]; *(3) ?? Nov 24: $3,000--1/2 value of damaged chain saw. Total paid in full: $25,978. ******* **** "borrowed" our copy and it's not returned. Is this part of a scheme? House damage, circa 30 Nov 24: $12,845 repair estimate. ****** was uninsured until 9 Dec 24. He suggested we commit insurance fraud by filing a claim for a 10 Dec 24 incident date. T5 is half-trimmed but still stands. T5 debris sits on the ground for six weeks & counting. Damage to neighbor's 3 fir trees. Damage to lawn. Outrageous overcharges. Recalling our experience with tree removal services, we were charged between $1,000 to $1,300 per tree, one of which was a huge pin oak. Other sources tell us that price range is reasonable. Reimbursement for half of the value of a new chain saw is ridiculous especially because he couldn't prove his claim of an embedded rod in the T4. I think this is a ploy to seek recovery of loss because he has no insurance. Many assurances to clean up debris went unfulfilled through Dec 24 into Jan 25. ****** claimed his climber's son was nearly killed in Tennessee in early December; ****** claimed ****** had a stroke and hospital stay in December. All sad, but irrelevant. I offered a 7 Jan 25 proposal to ****** that he refunds us the following. (1) $5,000--remaining T5 removal & clean-up; (2) $3,000--1/2 new chain saw price; (3) $7,000--Price gouging, quite generous on our part; (4) $12,845--Damage to house. Entitlement: $25,978 - $8,000 = $17,978 refund with generous estimate of actual work value & NOT including expected Procare coverage of house damage, or $17,978 + $12,845 = $30,823 refund with house damage recoupment.

Date of transaction is 17 Dec 2024. I hired Pro Care Property Maintenance and Tree Service to cut down and remove some branches from my property. The owner of the company started the work and was doing what was promised until I had to go out of town. They didn’t finish the job but demanded I pay for the job before going out of town. The owner took my blank check, filled out everything himself (made it out to an individual and not the company) and talked to his employees. I left for the airport only to find out that they left without finishing the job (due to darkness) and when I came back 4 days later, the job still wasn’t complete. I called the number provided (************) and spoke to the owner. He promised to come out and removed the remaining branches and cut down the 2 trees we agreed upon. I reached back out a day after they were supposed to be here and was told the owner was in an accident. Supposedly none of the employees know about anything and keep giving me the run around. I was quoted way less than what they charged me for the job but agreed bc it included the 2 large trees to be removed. I have reached out multiple times as stated and asked for either $600 back (which is way less that it would cost to cut the remains trees down) or for them to come finish the job. The owner never provided me my signed contract or left it in the mailbox either. I just want the job finished or for them to refund me $600 as requested. I tried to upload pictures but they are bigger than what’s allowed.
