Was towed Sunday 12/8/2024 from the ******* parking lot in the downtown Steubenville area during the holiday festivities. Which is fine. That's my mistake. Several cars were towed from the same lot. Went to Donnies lot and met a person who was also towed from the same ******* parking. He was waiting for the tow people to bring back his vehicle from the impound 2 miles away. (tow people: two males and a female)

I asked him how much he paid and he told me $145.
When the towing people came back with my vehicle which is a 4 door sedan they required me to pay $225. When i asked why the other guy paid only $145 he said, "oh, that guy paid in cash and then the rest in credit."
Which didn't make sense to me.
I protested a bit, but he responded with "I don't make the prices"
So i was stuck paying the $225 cause i needed my vehicle, it was freezing cold outside, and i felt they wouldn't be reasonable.

When i called today Monday, hoping to talk to the secretary to get a standard flat rate for this type of scenario she passed me off to someone else.
When i asked for the flat rate he kept on asking what car i had that was towed yesterday.
I emphasized i needed to know the flat rate for a 4 door sedan, but he refused.
Then said that sometimes more cables need to be used, especially if you're a larger vehicle, and my response was, "mines was smaller then the large jeep that was parked next to me and was also towed, and he personally told me he only paid $145".

I was suppose to talk to the manager but he refused.
Since it wasn't leading to a resolution i hung up.

I feel taken advantage and i feel like they would do it again to others who are in a vulnerable situation.

All I'm hoping for is a billing adjustment to the standard towing rate which i believe is $145.

    Thank you for your time

I also did file a compliant via the ******** ******* credit card company. They responded to them with a receipt to justify their charge, but i firmly believe they falsified an itemized receipt to cover for their extra charge. I decided to further pursue the dispute with ****

    Date of transaction: 6/ 28/2022
Amount paid: $140.00+Tax $10.00 $150.15. Donnie’s promised to give me 4 brand new tires 215/65/17. Nature of dispute is: The wrong size tires 215/55/17 were put on my vehicle which has caused my sensors to go off my dash board lights traction control to keep coming on. Chuck front desk/ Donnie the owner only gave me the option of 2 used tires that were not the same brand or tread and a refund of $70 because they didn’t have the full set as promised. I took the 2 tires out of desperation of getting the small tires off. And being I paid them $150.15 I had no more cash to buy new tires from another place.Or my refund. My Fiancée Smittie called the city Manager James ********** on 8/9 to get help because Donnie’s kept avoiding us and still has. Donnie called asking what he can do to make it right after city manager called his business Chuck tells me the mechanic decided to put all 4 new tires of 215/55/17 even though they didn’t have the right size. They knew they never had the right size and thought I would not recognize the mix up.I called 6/29/2022 to say they were the wrong size the tires were way to small and was a hazard to drive.I was never asked if this was okay to put the wrong size on. I was not informed in advance. I was lied to. I never received a refund on 8/9/2022 only 2 used tires on the front of the car that are causing my car to shake extremely bad driving over 50 on the highway. I used my 2 old tires they took off my car I kept to get full size donut on one. I was told the owner didn’t have any money in the register to reimburse me and the owner did not leave any cash to refund me on 8/9 I was told I would be called.I still have not been contacted about my refund as of 8/13/2022 and continuing. I do not want them working on my vehicle as I watched the mechanic bang on my passenger side lug nut screw 6+ times trying to beat my lug nut on the screw.
