I participated in an auction through the Proxibid platform on 03/25/2025 from the company "All Star Sports Memorabilia, Inc. and ultimately won an item for a value of $1500.00.

I was concerned about illegal shill bidding and the authenticity of the item therefore I contact both the auction company and Proxibid the following day to cancel the purchase. Proxibid still charged my debit card for the amount of $2064.14 after fees and taxes which I should not have been charged as I have tax exemption on my account.

I spoke with the auction company who advised they would intercept the shipment and then issue a refund through Proxibid. It should be noted that Proxibid were the payment processor, NOT the auction company.

The item had been shipped via UPS with tracking ******************, but was intercepted by the seller and returned to them on 04/01/2025, 1:09 P.M.

It is now 05/01/2025 and I still have not received a refund of the amount paid.

I have spoken with the auction company who originally told me they needed to have Proxibid refund the purchase, and now they have told me for 2+ weeks they will mail be a check, yet I have not received anything from them. Each time I talk to "****" I am told the same story about the owners wife needing to write the check, and the owner having to sign the check, and I will get tracking information the following day and I never get anything.

I am seeking an immediate refund of the $2064.14 paid.

I have completed a full workup on the "companies" and people involved and would be happy to share this information.

I spoke with the owner, ****** ***** *************, caller ID **** **** ************) of the company that I purchased from, All Star Sports Memorabilia, and he stated that he had contacted Proxibid on this date (05/12/2025) and instructed them to issue the refund to me for the purchase.

It should be noted that Proxibid has refunded the sales tax of $129.15 seperately, so that amount would be deducted from the original amount of $2,064.14.  I fully understand and acknowledge the fact that the outstanding refund should be $1,934.99.

I have requested Proxibid provide a refund receipt, and I will provide an update once the receipt and the refund is received, which could be up to 7-business days.

I received the attached refund receipt today from Proxibid indicating that the refund has been processed.

I have also verified with my bank that the funds have been received as of close of business yesterday, May 14, 2025.

This issue has now been resolved.

    Thank you,

I began buying autographed sports memorabilia from this company starting around the 10th of September 2023. I initially purchased items from them in hopes of gifting them to my husband as a surprise. I then began buying some items for future investment purposes and to resell in *******. I have all of the invoices with itemized charges of the items purchased from this company. I spoke to several of the employees of this company. I spoke with ******* *****, a gentleman by the name of "*** " who stated he is the owner and **** ****. I communicated to these men my intensions of buying to resell and in conversing with these individuals even mentioned how I would use some of my savings/401K to do so. I placed these charges on my credit cards to gain points in the process. My husband became aware of the thousands of dollars purchased and was unfamiliar with the company who supposedly authenticated all the memorabilia I had purchased from them. Amongst some of the items were sports autographed Jersey's, autographed balls, cards ( **** ******, ***** ******* and other GOAT signned) and **** *** autographes comics. The owners assured me that the signatures were authentic and even mentioned that they would travel to Comic Con's. to get some signatures including **** ***s' when he was alive. They assured me that all autographs were authentic.
******* one of the most trusted authentication company was visiting a business here in ******* called "Press Pass Collectibles" and doing live authentication . I went. They charged me to inspect some items and the items were deemed fakes. Upon understanding how much inventory was involved with great compassion and ethics inspected other items at no charge and assured me that they were not authentic They encouraged me to get a refund. ***** ******* goes regularly to this comapny under a contract and so authentic signatures are often acquired by Mr. ******* there so they could state with a certainty that I was sold fakes. Refund me.
