I am filing this complaint against a business named One Stop Speed Shop, operated by an individual named ****. I entered into an agreement with this business to have a 6.2L LS engine installed in my ***** Silverado. I paid in full for the cost of that specific motor and the labor involved. However, after receiving the truck and experiencing ongoing performance issues, I discovered that a 5.3L engine was installed instead. This is not what I paid for, and I feel I have been misled and taken advantage of. I was sold one product and delivered something completely different of lesser quality and value. Despite bringing the issue to Mikes attention, I have not received a proper explanation, resolution, or refund. The misrepresentation and breach of agreement have caused me unnecessary stress, financial loss, and mechanical issues with my vehicle.I am requesting the following resolution:A full refund for the cost of the engine and labor, or The immediate installation of the correct 6.2L motor as originally promised, at no additional cost to **** trusted this business based on its representation, and I feel that I was deliberately deceived. This kind of dishonesty should not be allowed to continue, and I hope this complaint helps prevent future customers from falling victim to the same type of **************** Name: One Stop Speed Shop Individual Responsible: **** Nature of Complaint: Fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of contract, deceptive business practice I appreciate the Better Business Bureaus help in resolving this matter.

I asked ***** to br*** the truck to my shop to prove he got exactly what he paid for, a 6.2 ls engine...I have all the receipts...I also told him I would put 1000 to have the engine verified and then I want reimbursed with additional funds provided to me...  I am guarantee the engine is a 6.2 ls....he called me from another shop but wouldn't tell me the shop the truck was at...I was gonna take the time to go there and prove that they were incorrect on tell*** him that the truck has a 5.3 ls engine with 6.2 cylinder heads on it... that combination won't even work together... so he declined all my offers to verify the actual engine size and was just threaten*** me and my business. I am will *** to do what ever it takes to prove he has received exactly what he has paid for.

On June 30, 2023 I towed my car to One Stop Speed Shop in Toledo, OH to have the head gasket repaired. The shop owner, ****, gave the impression that he was capable and would could get it done. I had to wait until July 21st to receive an update, and they tell me they actually cannot fulfill my head gasket repair. He then claims he’s found an engine with 89,000 miles for my 2004 Hyundai Elantra and suggest a full engine replacement at a cost of $1400 USD would be better for my situation, so I agree. He told me I need to put $700 USD down for him to begin the engine replacement—so he billed me over the phone. He alluded that the car would be done by Wednesday July 26, 2023 just in time for me to drive to work. When Wednesday comes he doesn’t call or notify me that he can’t make his deadline. I had to get my grandfather to call their shop on Thursday the 27th of July, and they then claim that they’ve begun the engine replacement repair and if all goes well it will be done by the night of July 28, 2023. Friday rolls around and I once again am not notified or called. The following Monday, July 31st, One Stop Speed Shop shut down their phone lines to prevent customers from calling. Since the phone lines were still off the hook the next day, Tuesday, my grandfather had to physically visit the shop and they now claim that they were sent the wrong engine for my 2004 Hyundai Elantra . I am been stalled and scammed and am out of $700 dollars for a repair that is seemingly not a priority and not being finished. The shop is holding my vehicle that I need to commute to work Monday through Friday, and is not making any progress or taking initiative to get me back on the road. I am a college student at The University of Toledo and will need my vehicle by August 28th to make my daily commute. I need an authoritative pressure for them to finish the car repair or release my vehicle back to me so I can get it repaired elsewhere. Anything would help, and I thank you for your time.

the vehicle was not ready to be service when it came in, was told there was a wait. once vehicle entered the shop it was diagnosed with a warped cylinder head and a cracked block,  struggled to find a used low mileage engine, 1 st engine was sent wrong , waited for second engine had even lower miles, second engine was installed with no problems. discounted shop supplies and total bill... did extra work to resolve cooling fan issues ( reason why original engine blew up). repaired free of charge. customer has had vehicle back for a couple weeks now and no complaints...
