I dropped an F150 off on 6/6 for timing and injectors. I get sent a message on 6/13 with a digital quote. I called in to talk to an "advisor" because the price doesn't match book hours. I refused some work and agreed to some work. I requested a written quote and Jim refused, I asked for a price and Jim told me he "would do what he could to keep the price down", I was not given an actual quoted price. Ohio law 109:4-3-13 requires they give both of those upon request. Jim told me they had the parts and it should be completed by Monday 6/19. I called on Monday and was told that they just received the parts (the ones they said they already had almost a week ago) and it should be done within the week. They already had it, might as well let them fix it. The total job shouldn't take more than 30 hours. I called on Thursday 6/22 for an update because I needed the truck for the weekend. I was told that the tech was still working on it and it should be done on Monday. So, I call on Monday, 6/26 (three weeks after dropping it off). Jim tells me that the tech can't get the engine to fire off but it should be good to go by end of day Tuesday. Well, he couldn't get it to fire until Thursday. Three days! How can you not get a 6 year old truck that you just worked on to fire for 3 days?! "Fine whatever, so it's ready?" "No, they have to do a test drive call back in a few hours". Jim had left early. Friday, Jim tells me the belt was slipping, he thinks they spilled some fluid on it, they're going to replace it and it should be good to go. I've had enough of it at this point, so I go to the shop. Turns out, the tech broke the air sensor port on the inlet and just glued it back on, the timing chain still rattles at startup, the entire engine compartment reaks of coolant, and theres a check engine light on that wasn't there when I brought it in. Turns out what Jim meant by try to save you money is to let a high school kid work on the truck and to reuse all my timing parts.

I recently purchased a 2015 Ford Focus from Brondes Ford in Toledo and it was the best experience I have ever had when purchasing a car. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful, but especially Rob. He was cheerful, helpful, attentive to my questions & responsive. When the final deal was worked out they had went above and beyond my expectations. When I buy another car it WILL BE ROB at Brondes I will call. Thanks to all of you!!!!!! Marlene C.

I have a 2012 Escape, I love my truck (LOL). In 2020 my AC went out so took it to Brondes was automatically told it was the compressor. Ok, paid the $1200 had it fixed. Not even a week later, the AC went back out. Back to Brondes to be told it needed a core condenser. I asked "how do you know it wasn't the core condenser in the first place" and was told well, it's a 50/50 shot. Being stubborn, and almost being fall I decided to wait. Summer of 21, I take it to a small shop for a check, the guy tells me that I have a small leak, recharges it & it ran all summer. This year I turned the AC on and got nothing. I decided to just get it fixed as I have no plans to get rid of the vehicle. I called Monday and told them who I was, the car had been there (is in their system) and that it needed a core condenser and made an appointment for Thursday 6/29. They called me Thursday at 4pm (after dropping it at 8am) to tell me it needed a core condenser and would need a dryer receiver to go with it (along with other stuff). I had already told them that when I made the appointment. They called Friday 1pm to tell me no parts available till 4pm so it would not be able to be fixed till Tuesday. I don't understand why the part wasn't ordered when I made the appointment as the car is in their system and they are the ones who told me what was wrong. I went 5 days with no car for no reason. Then when called for the amount owed I was told thirteen hundered twenty something and some change - they forgot to add the tax and it was actually over fourteen hundered. This experience was ridiculously rude and unnecessary.... They should of fixed it right the first time in 2020!!
