I took my 2017 truck into **** transmission to get fixed on 8/30/2022.They said it would cost around 4200 dollars.I said go ahead and fix it.Got my truck back about a week and a half later. Was told all the codes were gone and they did a complete rebuild on my transmission. They gave me a 18 month warranty or 18,000 miles.2 weeks later the transmission is still doing the same thing plus now I have a exhaust leak.I called them and told them about fixing my exhaust leak. They had to remove my exhaust to remove my transmission.I had only put about 80 miles on my truck since they supposedly fixed it.I talked to ***** ******* I believe. Not very friendly, and tries to be intimidating.I took my truck back in at 7 am on 9/22/2022 and asked them to find the exhaust leak and fix it.Went back to ask about what they had found about the exhaust leak and this ***** guy starts yelling at me and telling me I have all these trouble codes now on my transfer case.2 weeks earlier he told me all the codes were gone and my truck was good to go.I told him that I brought it back for them to fix my exhaust leak that they created. They didnt even address that problem. He is telling me I still have problems with the transmission or transfer case and was trying to get me to spend more money to fix again what he supposedly already fixed. I told him to talk to my lawyer. He then told me to take my truck and get off his property.Threw my keys out the door and told me to get out.I walked to my truck and was driving out past a garage door on his building and he and one of his employee started to flip me off and told me to bring it on mother f---er.I felt very threatened. This ***** ******* is out of control. Not sure if he doing drugs or what. While in the building even his secretary was hiding in the corner once he came out of his office.Worst experiance of my life. Not only was I threatened but my truck is still not right. It is worst than it was when I took it in.

This gentleman was simply informed he had other issues with his truck. We tried to explain this but he insisted on telling us what was going on with his vehicle. We never were able to even diagnose anything with the vehicle because customer insisted what we were telling him was not wrong. He never said there was any issue with his vehicle except a possible exhaust ring. The customer was asked to leave the premises after he yelled and started with "F" word. But was also told his warranty is good and valid if he can conduct himself properly. This person threatened to shoot me. His warranty is still valid.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:The response that **** transmission is a flat out lie.The only thing that they got right was I am a gentleman.Maybe you could get a statement from the nice lady who works at the counter and get a truthful statement from her.But I kind of doubt it because he would probably threaten to fire her .I called **** transmission about a week after getting my truck back and telling me ALL THE CODES are gone and I was all good as I stated in my complaint. When I called back less than a week later and ask if they had removed my exhaust system to fix my transmission the nice lady said let me check.I was then put on the phone with Mr. ***** *******.The rudest human being I have ever met.I ask him if they removed my exhaust system to do the COMPLETE REBUILD of my transmission. He said well I dont know.I told him that when my truck has cooled down a few hours it sounds like a exhaust leak to me when I start it up.I tried to tell  him that after a minute or so once the motor and exhaust heated up it went away.He then more or less said  hell if it goes away whats the problem. The problem is it didnt leak before you worked on it.Was told drop it off.We will look at it.I dropped it off a few days later at 7 am.Gave them 7 hours to let it cool down so they could find the exhaust leak and maybe just have to tighten up a few bolts or clamps. That is when while I was asking the nice lady about what they had found out about my exhaust leak, Mr. ***** ******* storms out of his office and yells at me that I still have trouble codes and I think was trying to gouge me for more money because he thought he could scam a old man .No F word as he states was spoken by me.Why are they putting a scanner on my truck to read trouble codes when I brought it back for a exhaust leak they created? So after being treated like dirt for 2 weeks and my truck having the same problems and worse ,plus the exhaust leak. I said just talk to my lawyer. That is when as i stated in my complaint I was told to take my truck and get off his property.Maybe he gets alot of these talk to my lawyer statements and is tired of hearing them.I dont know.As I stood outside he got my keys and threw them out the door on the side walk.As I stated in my complaint that is when Mr. ***** ******* and one of his employees were watching me go to my truck, flipping me off, swinging his arms and telling me to bring it on you mother fu----.Then I responded with giving him the finger and yelling back at him,you F--- off.How he gets threating to shoot him,I dont know. The bully has serious problems.I am sure he could beat up this 65 year old man. So the facts are I spent 4200 dollars for a COMPLETE TRANSMISSION rebuild and was given a warranty. The transmission is worse than when I took it in plus I now have a exhaust leak. There is no way I would go near this company let alone let them work on my truck again and try and GET IT RIGHT this time. And I sure dont want him and his employees kicking this 65 year old mans ass.The only solution that I see is a refund of my money .If they cant even fix a exhaust leak I cant imagine what the inside of my transmission looks like.Havent even taken it on the expressway because of the way it jerks .Not only do I have to pay a reputable company to fix my transmission right,I also have to pay for my exhaust leak to be fixed.I know that the BBB can only do so much in trying to resolve my problem and I appreciate the time and effort. But as my lawyer has told me,dont expect too much and will probably have to take them to court.

    Sincerely

    to me, ****

     Hello ********,

Thank you for the extension of time in order to address this issue. I had been out of town and I am just now finding out about the discrepancy. As I mentioned before, we are BBB Torch Award winners for outstanding ethics, and customer relations are very important to us.
After reading the concerns of the customer and speaking with not only our shop manager but also our office manager and headmaster technician, I believe the issue stems from a case of miscommunication, resulting in a misunderstanding and escalated by verbal abuse of an employee.
Nevertheless, we are committed to excellent customer service and will address all mechanical concerns this customer may have. In order to alleviate any apprehensions or personality conflicts he may have, I will handle this case personally along with Tammie our office manager. He has an 18 month/18,000 mile warranty from date of invoice and can call to make an appointment with her at any time.
Again, thank you for your time and effort in addressing this issue.

    Sincerely,

    **** ***, Owner.

I am rejecting this response because:I appreciate the offer from Mr.**** *** to make this right. But telling your shop manager to talk to my lawyer is not verbal abuse.Being told to take my truck and get off your property, being given the finger and being told to bring it on mother f---er is verbal abuse. It is also a threat. After having my truck inspected and diagnosed,I had the transmission completely rebuilt at the cost of $4200 dollars for the service and warranty and was assured that all codes and issues were corrected.A few days later I noticed the exhaust leak. This was not the case prior to me bringing it to your shop. Also my truck is basically doing the same thing it was doing before you repaired it.It jerks and clunks between 2nd and 3rd gear be it accelerating or downshifting when slowing down.I would like these issues corrected as I believe they are the result of the work performed by your company.I do not wish to come in contact with the employee that I encountered previously.I have considered getting a restraining order based on his behavior. So I would only feel comfortable bringing my truck back to your shop if I could be assured that I would not see, talk to,deal with or be threatened by your shop manager. If you are unable to guarantee that I could safely and comfortably have my truck looked at and repaired,I would appreciate an alternative solution as these issues were created while my truck was in your shop, and I need to get them corrected. If I am forced to take it somewhere else, the cost of that would fall on me and that would not be right.Thank you.

    Sincerely,
