I had A &D auto tow my car from Bronde's Ford to their shop because they said they would make an accessment and offer to buy my car because the transmission is out. They wouldn't do an assessment without towing it and taking it to their shop. They then said they would only give me $300 for my car, minus the $198 they paid Brondes. I NEVER agreed to accepting that. They had to wait until I received the title of the car in the mail for anything to be done or agreed upon anyway. I never was told about any storage fees and I never signed anything agreeing to pay storage fees, and they never called me to ask me to come get my car by a certain date to avoid storage fees. I went there to pay them the $198, and have my car towed by my AAA, and they said no, that I owed $600 in storage fees, $75 for the tow, and the $198. I told them that they never once told me about storage fees. Never once called me to ask me to pick it up or else I would be charged storage fees, won't let me get my personal belongings out of the car, and the owner *** refuses to speak to me. I'm not paying for storage that I was not even aware of because I would NOT have agreed to that. I am wanting to pay the original $198, and I will pay the $75 tow fee even they also didn't mention that before I agreed to have it towed.

    Business Response

    Date: 09/30/2024

    On June 3,
2024, ****** ***** called A & D Auto Parts and asked if we buy cars and stated
that she had a 2013 Escape with a bad transmission.  We were told she had title and that the
vehicle was at Brondes. We told her we would pay $250 - $350 depending on the
condition. She agreed and asked if we could pay her bill at Brondes and pick vehicle
up and she would come to the shop and bring the title.

    At that moment,
A&D had an agreement in exchange for purchasing her junk vehicle for a
purchase price of $250 - $350, depending on the condition, A&D will pay her
bill at Brondes and tow the junk vehicle back to A&D.

    A&D paid
the bill at Brondes and towed the vehicle to our shop on June 3. The following
day, June 4th, Ms. ***** came to A&D and we agreed on a price of
$300 for her junk vehicle.  At no time
did Ms ***** disagree or complain about the amount we stated.  In fact, Ms ***** then asked to get her
personal belongings out of her vehicle in our storage lot, which she did and
stated that she would get the title and bring it back.  Ms. ***** states A&D will not let her get
her personal belongings out of the car, that is not true. She picked her
personal belongings up on June 4, 2024.

    Approximately, 3
months later, (90) days, Ms. ***** comes in and wants to pay $198 and pick her junk vehicle
up. There were $1800 in storage fees alone.  Highly visible on the wall, signs are posted
$20/day storage on all vehicles left after 3 days!  A&D had an agreement which she broke, she never brought the title in. A&D does not store cus***er vehicles for free.

    A&D
offered $600 storage plus the Brondes bill plus a $75 tow for an agreement that
    Ms. ***** breached!

    We had a
mutual agreement with ****** ***** to pay $250 - $350 for her vehicle and in
turn we would pay her bill and pick her vehicle up from Brondes.  A&D would not of paid her bill at Brondes and
towed her vehicle to our shop if we did not have a mutual agreement to purchase
her vehicle for $250-$350.  MS. *****
    BREACHED OUR AGREEMENT!

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

The owner, *** *****, has never spoken to me, ****** *****, because he spoke to my boyfriend, **** ******* on the phone about picking up my car from brondes and towing it. A&D would not give a monetary offer over the phone and said no problem, we'll pick it up and then access it. So no, there was no agreement before picking my car up. And no, my boyfriend never told you I had the title before you picked it up.

Your employee at the desk, with long hair that looks like he belongs in the 70s, would not let me get my belongings out of the car. In fact, he "so graciously" asked what exactly I wanted from my car because he would go get one or two things for me, but would not let me go get all of my stuff. I still have a lot of stuff in my car that I still need. I've had to rebuy a booster seat for my child! The last time I went in I called the police to have an effort to get my stuff but they couldn't get there before you closed, so I still do not have my stuff from the car. My daughter was there for both of those times, and my bf was there for the second time if you want to try lying again.

We never once agreed on a price, I would never agree on that low of an amount because even with a broken transmission it is still worth $2,400, I have offers for that much as well. You all knew that I didn't have my title and that it would be at least minimum 10 days for capital one to process and prove my pay off, and then having to wait for the title in the mail. I was told that's fine just bring it back when you have it. My child was there for this if you would like to lie again.

As for your sign on the wall about "$20 a day" it says "for mechanical work done", I did not have mechanical work done. I don't understand why you won't talk to me ***? I've tried to deal with you on person and you refuse, or so your employee at the desk tells me that "it's between you and ***". I want to get this resolved but you refuse to work with me.

    Sincerely,

    ****** *****
