I purchased a new ***** Silverado in June and took it to the Wright Chop shop directly from the dealer to have it under coated and ceramic coated, the truck had 20 miles on the odometer. The following morning I received a call from the Wright Body Shop informing me that it fell off of their lift while they were working on it and there was quite a bit of damage. I no longer want a body shop repaired truck full of body putty and poorly matched paint so I took the truck back to the dealer and they offered me $50,000. which leaves me an $18000. loss on my investment.

Hello, this is ****** *****. Manager at The Wright Chop Shop.  I am writing to have our response to this complaint posted.

First we would like to be very clear that it did happen, however the complaint makes it sound as if we tried to repair the vehicle with body putty and wrong colored paint. And none of that ever happened. We are insured and have coverage for this type of incident. The vehicle was going back to dealer for new parts not bondo or putty. The customer involved threw a fit. Never let the truck be repaired to even see any color match. He was understandably upset, but would not discuss any options with us. Just stomped his feet like a small child and said he wanted a new truck.. If you are like him and perfect. And never had anything go wrong your entire life then just dont come to us.  We have had many happy customers including this same exact customer before this happened. But he didn't seem to want to broadcast his good experience here like he does now with the bad experience.

    Better Business Bureau:

I just received a letter from BBB from a complaint I filed. ID *******. I have just read the response from the Wright Chop Shop. I took the truck to the Wright Chop Shop with 20 miles on the odometer. From the Wright Chop Shop to ****** ********* after they dropped it from their lift. I went inside and ask the dealer if I brought the truck back with 20 miles on the odometer and told them I did not want it how much would they give me for it. The dealer said they would give me my money back if there was no damage. I then explained the damage and they made an offer of $50,000. after repairs. I have $68,000 invested. After reading the response of ****** ***** he is totally incorrect. The cab corner and rocker panel cannot be replaced with out body putty. I have had two cars partially painted and after a couple years the paint fades at a different rate and you can see the difference. He must of thought I acted like a child when he told me it fell off the lift because ***** puts grease on the frame and I replied if you know that and your professionals it should not have happened. As it stands now I ordered the truck and waited 7 months for delivery and now the truck is still in the body shop waiting on parts since June. I use my truck to pull my boat and now boating season is over. I had a truck to pull my boat and sold it when my new truck was delivered. When I read their response it showed me telling the truth isn't their strong suit. If I wanted a reconditioned truck I could have went to an insurance auction and saved thousands but I wanted a new truck and paid full price.

    Regards,

    **** ******

The cab corner should not be replaced or have body putty. It should be the entire side of the cab, therefore spot welded at the edge of roof and under truck with all doors removed. And a new door, leaving absolutely ZERO putty! If they don't do it right take it up with them!. Also any vehicle he had partially painted and faded wasn't done at our business either! And do remember we had done you right in the past. You NEVER went out of your way to spread that around! That's the type of guy you want to be then so be it. Things happen  someone could rear end the next truck at a light tomorrow.    We call it life. People have insurance for these reasons. If something repaired isn't good enough for you , you'll be buying new trucks often I'd imagine. We could have changed parts and never mentioned it happened, but instead wanted to take the HONEST road and call you right away,  Since your calling me a liar. ..   everything we have said is completely true. If they use putty on that truck then they are doing it wrong. Your comment on it being impossible without putty is incorrect.

This is our last message and we do not care what is put on the website. I will no longer waste time to argue with someone who doesn't fully understand how the body should be repaired.  We will be here helping people keep their vehicles on the road at an affordable rate for a long time to come.
