See attached. Complaint length has "too many characters"

I purchased a home in Nov. 2021 which has a Jet septic system. I was subsequently informed by the
Cuyahoga County Board of Health that the law requires the homeowner pay CC an annual fee for a
permit and that I also must pay and contract with a local septic company to service this system. At that
time CCBOH provided me with a list of 38 septic companies, but only 5 on the list would were named as
being able to service a Jet system. Out of the 5 companies listed, I could not reach 2 of them and 2
others would not service my home's location. Therefore, by default, CCBOH required me to contract
with Uniontown Septic. Since 2022, I have paid US $220 each year for a service contract. The service
contract states US will provide 2 inspections per year. However, in 2022 US only came to my property
once. In 2023, US came a few times because of their own errors and lack of maintenance in prior years.
As it turns out, Uniontown Septic installed this Jet system in 2016 at my property. Rob the technician
who was sent to my property in 2023 to replace my aerator motor apparently didn't know what he was
doing and his service resulted in more damage to my system aka "blowing out the mother board", which
US then acknowledged and replaced. The last time US was at my property was in September 2023. In
January of 2024, I paid US $220 for its annual service contract but THIS COMPANY HAS NEVER
RETURNED TO MY PROPERTY. I have called US numerous times, including to cancel my contract, but one
calls back. If you do get lucky and speak to someone, they will make excuses for the owner who is
"under staffed" and disorganized but they won't help and say that I need to speak with the owner. This
fall I spoke to CCBOH who acknowledged that they have received *multiple complaints* about this
business but yet would not negotiate a refund on my behalf. Megan at CCBOH said via email that she
called US on my behalf and that I would receive a call back from US. But I never did. Not only has US
ignored its contractual obligation towards me, but US's lack of maintenance and incompetence has
caused system parts to fail. Also of importance is that I learned my contract with US is invalid according
to Ohio Revised Code 1345.23 which among other things, requires a notice of cancellation on the
contract itself. This code is called the Home Sales Solicitations Act (HSSA). A violation of the HSSA is
considered a deceptive act under the Consumer Sales Practices Act (CSPA) and allows for consumers to
pursue treble damages and reasonable attorney fees. See other attachments. If my full refund is not
issued within 10 days, I will report Uniontown Septic to the Ohio Attorney's General's office for further
investigation, have a local TV investigate and publicize this matter, and/or file my own lawsuit against
Uniontown Septic. I know there are others who have been deceived by this company. Per another
online complaint in which a consumer stated US threaten him/her and came back onto the consumer's
property to remove parts of their septic system, if Uniontown Septic reacts to this complaint by coming
onto my property under the guise of "servicing" my system, I will also involve the police and Uniontown
Septic and its owner will be charged with CRIMINAL TREPASS.

Any parts that were damaged due to negligence were replaced at no charge. 5/31/23

Lack of staff has affected our response times. We will be issuing a refund check in the amount of $220.00

I am rejecting this response because:

The business initially took no responsibility for the mistake made by the technician. Now that a complaint has been made, I get an “apology”. Yes mistakes do happen, but part of owning a business is having integrity and doing the right thing when these mistakes happen. No where on jets website or uniontown’s page does it explain how the warranty works with parts replaced under warranty. Legally, this is a written contract from the business and when presented in court they will be bound to honor it. That will be the next step if action is not taken on part of the business to remedy their “mistake”.ed with, which is clearly not what was written on my work order. How the **** does a brand new aerator, supposedly replaced with an exact same brand new unit, not come with its own warranty??? All service has been kept up with on system and have had NO other issues except aerator issues

Called and spoke to the service manager Steve who took no responsibility for the false information and said they “can’t do anything jet won’t warranty it, left the owner a voicemail and have not been contacted back. Tried contacting Dominic at jet, left voicemail and also no call back. Clearly neither one of these companies stands behind the products they sell and uniontown septic has no integrity to do the right thing for providing this false information.

    RE: Complaint ID ********

In April 2023, the statement of 30 month warranty was an
error on the part of the technician. We do apologize for the misunderstanding,
    human error does happen.

If full price had been charged, then the warranty would have
started over. But a discounted price is given when a warranty replacement is
issued for JET motors. These motors are no different than any other consumable
item under warranty, the original warranty stays.

As far as needing to be replaced again, we do not manufacture
the motors, we just install them.
