I have been a summer resident of Pleasant View Recreation since April 2011. At that time I made payment of $75.00 for an electric utility deposit and $20.00 for the use of two gate cards @ $10.00 each. January of 2018 the owner sold the campground to Adventure Bound Pleasant View Recreation. At the time Adventure Bound took over I asked about the deposits and was told by the manager at that time that money was escrowed and would be returned to us. That Manager **** is no longer with Adventure Bound and *** is the new manager since late 2018. Since that time she has been refunding not only the 75 and 20 but also appx $350.00. She has been doing this thru 2021. When I notified them we were not going to be able to return in 2023 I was told by the office that my refund would be $445.00 I was surprised of the amt. I asked and was shown the paper with those numbers (445) already written on them.. As of Oct 11 2022 per a call with ***. She said She spoke with her Corporate Office and that money was never given to them to pay us back so we have to track down the previous owner Mr ***** ***** so he can pay us. I have spoken to their Director of Operations and he too said I needed to contact Mr *****. My complaint is up to Oct of 2021 they have been paying deposit money and more out to those who have left. I have proof I paid it I have turned in my gate cards and left my lot in excellent condition with no outstanding balance. I feel I am owed the 75 + 20 = $95. This money should have been included with the sale/purchase of the campground. I don't feel I should be punished due to the mistakes made at closing or by current management. This practice has been going on for 6 years, that is alot of money paid out if they were not required and it should not be my responsibility to track down the previous owner. I did my part and followed all the rules and paid my bills on time.
