    Parent Pro Tip for soon to be drivers.Read Master and Sylvania drive time contract VERY VERY carefully!!1) you have to sign the contact AND PAY for the time BEFORE theyll call you and schedule the drive time appointments. They REFUSE to discuss the schedule until you pay.Seems harmless though, right??2) no refunds in the contract Sure, why would you need a refund??? They are reputable. 3) they guarantee to provide the hours within 6 months of the contract. So .. when they call you to schedule time (remember - you have already paid) and they cant schedule you in for over a month and then you find another company who can get you in over the next two weeks . NO REFUND. Oh, really? Yep really. You paid, they got you in less than 6 months. No refund. Surely a call will help. Nope. Sorry, you signed the contract.Nice business model.

    We are licensed by the State of Ohio and use their contract. The contract does state that there are no refunds as long as we are willing and able to complete all of the driving times in a six month time period. If a parent inquires before they send us their paperwork and payment, where we are currently booking for driving times, we certainly provide that information along with a disclaimer that we have no control over how many students may call in to schedule and where we will be booking when we get their paperwork. Our information letter along with all of the paperwork is on our website. A student and parent must read and complete the contract. Once we receive all of the paperwork and payment, we call the student/parent to set up the driving times. We received this student's paperwork on 6/14/24. We called them to set up the driving time on 6/18. All of the driving was scheduled in the month of July. Unfortunately, the student was not able to take sooner driving times in July due to them being out of town for part of July. I did offer to reach out to other instructors to see if they would be willing to add driving times for this student. I asked the parent to provide the time frames that the student was available. The parent declined this offer. The parent said to keep his money and that he was still going with the other driving school.
