I took a computer to Digital Cowboy Computers because of ransomware. I gave them permission to send the hard drive out for further attempts to fix it. To do this they had to remove screen. When I went to pick up the computer the upper right corner of the screen was cracked, quite likely from taking the screen off. I showed them the damage and they said they would look into it. I've not heard anything back from them after I went in and was told the manager was not there. The screen can't be replaced with a new one, only possibly available through ebay but I don't think a secondhand screen is acceptable. To make this right they need to reimburse me so that I can replace the computer at a cost of approximately $1,000.

We are aware of *** ****** claim that we damaged his screen.   We were not able to find any evidence that the damage was caused by us.  It looks like *** **** actually damaged the screen by bumping it into something like a car door or building door while carrying the unit.  There is nothing we can do to make him happy.   He was verbally aggressive with our employees.   He informed me that our rinky dink operation was ran by idiots.  He has already trashed our reputation on multiple online portals.   We cannot satisfy this individual - nothing makes him happy - so we will just accept his bad review and move on.    We did not damage the screen.   It actually does not even impact the function of the system.  After speaking with him, there just is no way we can make him happy.  I have never been treated so poorly by a client.  People have been mad at us before - and we fixed the issue.   But this is one case where I do not believe anything we do will solve the issue.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I am very unhappy with the service I received from Digital Cowboys and I told them so. And yes, as is my option I did make comments on one review site. All of this occurred before I picked up my computer with the broken screen. Given the attitude I see in this response I'm beginning to wonder if the screen damage was accidental or deliberate. I did not use the terms that I assume the owner stated in his response. Yes, the computer still works but I'll never know whether the screen cracks will expand. Anyway, is it really okay that a vendor damages a product and doesn't have to be responsible for that?

      Sincerely,

      ******* ****
