    *Transaction date: 12/4/2019. ***** pd.: $753.04 of $1753.04 charge. *Business committed to providing engraving & installation of a headstone/marker on parents' (Note: My father is a WWII veteran.) gravesite in cemetery. (Note: This purchase was NOT made through a secondary business.) *Dispute: Upon installation in 5/2021, ******************** was notified, in person at the funeral home, that the marker had the wrong wedding date (Note: 3 digits were incorrect.). At that time, he was provided with the correct date, the approved print mock-up (2/3/2020) & written communication between the funeral home ***************** He apologized, made copies & promised to have corrections made--with a qualifier that Covid ************* of monument personnel would impede a quick resolution. On 8/3/22 (Note: This was over a year since corrections were promised!), I informed ******************** that no corrections had been made. Again, he gave his apologies & said he would meet with the funeral home's monument personnel. He told me that they had stopped selling markers in order to "catch-up" with service. In 11/22 I contacted ******************** when nothing still was not done. He said the impeding cold weather would prevent the wrong numbers being filled in with filler. I waited AGAIN until 6/8/23 to visit the cemetery; At which time I saw that only 2 (?) of the 3 digits had been filled in. I left the cemetery & went to the funeral home. ******************** was not there but called me that day with more apologies & more promises. This past week (9/20/23), I AGAIN checked my parents' headstone and saw that NO additional CORRECTION/WORK has been made over the warm summer weather. In less than 3 months, it will be 4 years since my order was accepted by & down payment was made to Staton-Borowski Funeral Home. My patience has waned. Hence, I am filing this 9/24/23 complaint with you all at the BBB.
