My company paid for my room and I was told the card declined. The guy at front desk did not try to reach out with booking.com to fix the issue he ask for me to pay out of pocket it was so late and I was tired from driving that I did when I checked my account I was charged twice for the room I tried call business to explain but the got an attitude and very disrespectful with me and basically told me to figure out the issue myself which in my opinion is very unprofessional. You don’t treat a paying customer like dirty when they have issues because of your company

This complaint is for my father/mother in law, (**** and ******** *****) who came to visit. They are from ********* and they came to stay at the Ameristay in Waverly OH. We live in Wavery and this hotel was close to us. They are an older couple and this hotel just plain bullied them. On May 12, 2023 at appx. 9:00pm, they had just went to bed when a maintenance person came and knocked on their door. When they answered, the man proceeded to tell them that they had to chance the lock on their door right now. They were in their pajamas and asked if he would give them a few minutes to put clothes on. So they both got out of bed, got dressed etc. Asked to talk to the manager.... The maintenance man and the manager Becky R**** were very rude and said that it had to be done right then and could not wait. Ms. R**** proceeded to tell them that they (hotel staff) can come into their room whenever they want and there was nothing they could do about it. They also proceed to tell my inlaws that it would only be about a 15 minute job, however, it ended up lasting over an hour. Becky R**** and the maintenance staff used intimidation and bullying tatics on an older couple and knew they could get away with it because they were defenseless. They were almost to the point that they were going to call the police. Ms. R**** did nothing to resolve the situation except a 10% discount. The entire hotel stay charge should be voided. My inlaws should get their money back for their stay. Anyone who bullys old people should not be in management positions. I could not find any way to contact the owner of the hotel, which all information I found says that Randall R** is the owner of the Ameristay in waverly, ohio. But I could not find a way to contact him directly. If you contact the hotel, you get Ms. R****, the one who did nothing but scare innocent old people.
