      I was quoted $208 and some change, from a car x employee named David in store in the lobby. Brake pads all the way around and rotors on the front. My car went in the shop for “2 hours” for brakes and rotors, which has now turned into a week! I was told in person today that when they put in on the lift the “system failed” and broke my struts, their responsibility at that point. After my brakes and rotors were completed they took my car off the lift and the front wheel wells we’re sitting on top of my tires and the air ride was not rising, my brakes weren’t working at all with brake fluid going everywhere. I asked them not to drive my car out of the garage with it like that and they agreed to fixing the issues and David himself told me he would handle the cost at that point. Here we are a week later and I was handed a almost 3,000.00 bill for their damages with now fender damage done to my car that they tried to fix themselves that also cause the paint to crack. I have been in contact with the shop manager Lee who said he was not honoring the price I was given and refused to communicate with me beyond that. I called the police to the shop to take a report and was advised is corporate didn’t rectify to get an attorney due to how unprofessional this is. I am completely fine with paying the initial price I was given for the work I had asked for beyond that is where it seems to be them taking advantage of me knowing this is my only means of transportation for my children and myself thinking I’ll just pay it and be on my way. I have been threatened, told to go **** myself and enjoy paying a high bill due to calling corporate and as a paying customer I shouldn’t be in fear to call corporate when business is being handled incorrectly and forced to pay a unreasonable price due to their mistakes and damages.

      Employees were also engaging in smoking marijuana on the side of the building yesterday. I asked for them to pull cameras they stated they had none.

      Unfortunately the complainant has involved an attorney in her spurious claim regarding both damage and facts regarding the rest of repair process. So I am unable to respond further regarding this issue.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below. I find it very inappropriate to claim this is spurious. I have recorded all communication with car x employees admitting to their damages to my vehicle. 

      Video footage of actual work being performed, before and after pictures of my vehicle, messages from employees stating I can enjoy paying higher prices because I called corporate. My vehicle was damaged during routine maintenance and I am not responsible for the damages the company did to my vehicle. This is not a professional resolution.

        This customers allegations have been addressed through a goodwill gesture of repairs performed at cost. She signed a release at that time removing us from further litigation. Unfortunately she is not honoring that agreement.
