    Hello BBB,

Jonah’s Creative center agreed to provide before and after care for our school aged child and to get him to and from school. Day 1 of this, they failed to provide service and told us that we need to switch daycares. They committed to providing services for the remainder of the week, which was 3 days (as they were closed first 2) to help us secure another center as they were leaving us with extremely inadequate notice. They then sent our child to school in a messy car, unconfirmed if their was a child seat, he almost fell getting out and a principal had to physically help him. They then forgot to pick our son up, fortunately he never left the side of the principal and his IEP specialist. They then tried to blame the school and said they put our son on a random bus which is a complete lie as the school has a very detailed bussing process to ensure children’s safety. We want other parents to be aware of this horrifically tragic incident that could have been a lot worse had the school not stepped in. Jonah creative center should be investigated into their treatment and safety of children. Jonah’s creative house does not care about the safety of children, and have no professional respect for parents.

The owner demanded payment in full for the week today (which payment for the week is not due until 1/13) and previous payment was satisfied in full when center finally sent us accurate payment options.

We believe that this trauma cause at the hands of Jonah Creative center should result in a payment reduction. Jonah Creative center has deleted and removed us from apps, so we have no way to communicate with them or satisfy payment.

We appreciate the BBB helping in resolving this case.

    Thank you,

    Jonah’s Creative Center

Your claim is invalid, untrue and false. Due to the ****** County snow emergency we closed for two days and this impacted your work schedule. We apologized for the inconvenience. Although We appreciate your perspective and value your feedback unfortunately it is completely not true and all made up. We provided only one tour, your spouse did not schedule any tours with our program. In regards to transportation to and from local schools :The state of **** requires all licensed programs to have routine transportation forms completed by all families that require transportation, you failed to provide this documentation until the day your child needed transportation, to accommodate your late notice we provided transportation to the school in a **** ** **** which is in amazing condition and is equipped with one booster seat for students needing additional safety features. Also, we advise all families to report to the school when their child will be bus rider or a car rider. The school stated your child was a bus rider for the day, our staff arrived to the school and was turned away by your child’s school, your issues are not with our program as we provided transportation and was told your child was on the bus prior to us arriving. In the future please be sure you are aware if your child will be a car rider or a bus rider to avoid these instances. Your failure to communicate to the school that your child WAS NOT a bus rider was not a mistake on our company’s behalf. After the school stated your child was on the bus we notified you both immediately. Lastly, our county received 8-10 inches of snow the past two days that made it unsafe for our families and staff to drive in turn we closed our program until the streets and highways were clear of ice and snow, within our handbook we state that in the event of inclement weather we will close and follow the lead of the school district which also closed for the two days. We understand how how this can add to your frustration but again that is another element out of our control. You have several gripes one being that your original child care program abruptly closed, that only is a traumatic experience for some families. Our goal is child safety and communication we are a five star program that takes pride in serving our community. We have countless reviews and have served hundreds of families we plan to continue to do our best. Again we are deeply sorry for the snow emergency which seems to have affected your experience with us.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

    Hello BBB,

Thank you for your continued support in mediation with this claim. Attached you will find one photo (of many) to a screen shot stating with Jonah’s creative house misrepresented their program. We also have email confirmation of my tour, as well as my wife’s tour. We both toured Jonah’s creative house in person, and on separate days.

Due to the emotional trauma and hardships our family, particularly our 7 year old child faced, we believe that this issue will unable to be resolved with the BBB. We appreciate the support of both local and state agencies that assist in ensuring that children are safe from hostile and unethical daycares such as Jonah’s creative house.

We pray that no other family will endure the trauma and hardship we faced on that dark day in January.

    Regards,
