I spent 900 dollars on my mower last year to have the blades left loose. This year I spent 400 dollars for an oil change and the second time mowing the mower will not move. I called Jericho and was told they could look at it for another 120 dollar fee ! I was told the mower is perfect condition and I wouldn’t have any issues and now 3 weeks later 2nd cut of the season he’s telling me it’s not his fault and deal with it. The owner of this business is the rudest mN I have ever dealt with and acted like my measly 400 dollars doesn’t mean anything and he won’t do anything for free is what he said even though I paid 400 dollars a month ago….

*** ***** called May 15th 2025 and mentioned that his mower would not move. Also that it was in our shop for a tune up service in March.( see attached invoice )

After I looked over our invoice to see if we had completed any drive system repairs , which we did not. I told him I would be happy to look at it and we could pick it up on Monday 5/19/2025.

He asked if there would be a charge and I told him  I did not know until I looked at it. At this time he started swearing at me( I asked him not to swear at me )  ,telling how much he has spent on it etc. and we must have messed it up. Which I tried to explain to him that we did nothing to the drive system. I said if the issue is his problem then he should pay us. We can not predict the future issues that may come upon any equipment.

I also mentioned to him that some type of debris may have gotten into the drive system and caused the issue - which is not our fault or problem. All of which we can not determine with out looking at it. I mentioned several more times I would be glad to pick it up and look at. Which he said he was not going to pay for anything. I told him we do not work for free and I believed he didn't either.

After this he started swearing at me and calling me names which I hung up then.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

This companies reviews on ****** and **** reflect the bullying and inflated prices this company uses and charges. Last year they didn’t tighten my mower blades and had to come back and get it because luckily the delivery guy knew I hadn’t moved it and they had to replace a bolt assembly that was broken then. I let that all slide still paid 900.00 last year and this year another 400.00 and another issue but this time it didn’t start acting up until I ran it myself so they can deny it. I was also told last year to watch out getting an attitude with the owner because “ he’s armed” .. again scare tactics. All I wanted them to do was look at it and see if it’s something they did or not but he wouldn’t look at it without charging another 120 dollar pickup fee. And Iam 2.5 miles away from the shop

We don't scare or threaten anyone. Compared to our competitors around town our prices are inline or cheaper.  The majority of our reviews are excellent.

Our service must be satisfactory since this customer has been using us for 6 years.

Of course we are not perfect and are purely human and we repaired his blade failure without issue.

The last service included a tune up service , pick and delivery and a mower deck idler pulley. We did not service his drive system or complete any work on it nor did we see any issue with the drive system. Surly it is unfortunate he has had a drive issue , however it is no different if anyone at anytime had the same issue ,that we would charge to diagnosis and or repair this type of problem. The other thing is that all of the completed work that he paid for on 3/20/25 is correct and working and has nothing to do with a drive issue.

I offered ******** several times that I would be happy to look at his equipment but could not say there would be no charge for such. It is impossible without looking at it. He started swearing at me , which I asked him to stop. I offered again to come get the next day. As well as stating I could not say if there would be a charge or not. Which then he started swearing and calling me foul names. At this time I hung up.

******** also stated that his equipment was not worth fixing if it needed additional repairs.

I see no reason to refund anything as what we did is completed and correct. ** ***** approved and paid for all of the completed work.

His drive issue is not something we caused or involved with in any shape or form
