PMI Columbus manages on behalf of ********** ******* condos. Purchased my condo last year October 2023. Never received a welcoming package or Bylaw handbook by this management company as a new member. I been renovating my condo for a while now, February 14th was my official move in date. On this day I pulled out my secondary vehicle, 2013 white BMW from my garage and parked it in the visitors parking lot on Misty Way, so that my movers can conviently move my things in through the garage. I been moving things in all weekend so I left my BMW parked in the visitor spot. On Feb 20 noticed my car was gone. Called the tow company that was listed, they advised PMI called them to tow my vehicle due to it being abandoned left there for weeks, which is a lie. Contacted PMI spoke with ***** ****** who stated a whole other reason that a resident called and sent pictures of my vehicle parked with no visible license plate. Told her to zoom in the picture to see that my license plate were visible inside my windshield placed them there so nobody would steal my license plate. Whomever took the picture can see the plates clearly in person. ***** advised she would speak to the HOA committee and get back to me within 48hrs. I got my car out paid $220. The next day received an email from ***** stating that my violation was valid and that they decided not to reimburse me. She finally provided me with Bylaw handbook read it throughly and nowhere on this handbook does it show that I have violated any of the Bylaws. I am a resident who pays taxes and HOA fees, parked my functioning vehicle with valid license plate on plain site, in a visitor spot that does not indicate anywhere of how long it can be parked there. The towing sign even states tenants and guest may park on these premises. I was towed off of assumption that the car was own by someone that lived elsewhere, no through investigation was done. I just want to be reimbursed for my towing fees and maybe be welcomed in a better way.

****** is a resident in ********** ******* CONDO ASSOCIATION. The association is ran by a board of directors. PMI is the appointed management company at the direction of the board of directors. PMI does not make decisions for the board or community. The decisions pertaining to the community are made by the board of directors. ****** purchased her condo in October of 2023 prior to under the management of a prior management company -Sentry. We are not able to confirm on behalf of sentry if ****** received a welcome packet. We do know that at the time of purchase the deed restrictions and bylaws are conveyed as a part of the deed and closing process so she would have had this information to close on her property. Pmi did not begin managing this community until December 2023. Pmi is not responsible for reimbursement of any fees assessed to the residents of this community as a result of a community violation, nor for a towing request submitted by the board of directors for this community for a violation of the bylaws of the community as well as the state of Ohio. The request to tow was submitted by the board president to the towing company hired by the board of directors years prior to our management. Proper towing signs are displayed at the entrance of the community. The vehicle owned by ****** was determined to be in violation due to being parked in common area visitor spacing for more than 48 hours as well as for not having properly displayed plates. The vehicle was not able to be identified as belonging to a resident at any time. The improper plate in the windshield was not completely visible to run a BMV check and was not an owner registered plate but was a dealer plate. The board allowed 72 hours after the notice before re-inspection and requesting the tow of the vehicle. Thus allowing ample time for an owner to be identified and for the vehicle to be moved. Each owner has designated parking  garage spacing and driveway attached to their home. As you can also see that after towing the plates finally were added to the vehicle and did not match the plate that was partially displayed originally. Regarding welcoming Semhar, pmi was introduced to the entire community in many forms of communication, email, mail, portal, annual meeting etc.. Each resident has access to a portal where all community documents are readily available from the beginning of our management transition. Association documents are also public record with the state so she also has access this way. ****** has access to this portal and had the opportunity to review the community documents at any time with her new home purchase. We have responded timely to all of her inquiries and provided all documentation requested. Unfortunately she does not agree with the decision rendered by the board of directors. The decision to uphold the violation does not make Pmi responsible for reimbursing her towing expense. We are truly sorry that she incurred this expense as a resident of the community we were recently hired to manage.
The violations, and responses are included. Her dispute is not with pmi it is with the community and the enforced decisions of the community which pmi has no control over.
