    I hired mark J***** and his team to re-wrap the back of my house and install two new windows. This was roughly a year ago. I was also told I would need a new bay window at some point on the first floor due to water getting in somehow. Originally why I needed marks help with to begin with, water getting into the house from the west side around the windows. Shortly after mark and his team were done, the problem seemed worse. Water was coming in around the wrap and soiled my walls and floor. I had to make an insurance claim and have everything replaced upstairs and downstairs. I reached out to mark and he insisted is was something else and not what his team came to fix. Since mark was reluctant to help me and resolve my ongoing issue, I had to have another contractor come and see what the issue was. They took photos of nails through my siding, broken siding, and improper materials used by mark and his team. The new contractor also had to reattach my gutter and said that mark and his team would have to come back and fix the issue. They didn’t want to be responsible for something that was already in contract essentially with marks team. Damages were above 3 grand. Since I’ve had my new window installed per marks suggestion, there is still water coming down the west side wall and into my house. I cannot leave my house for fear of water damage every time it rains. I now have the window team that installed the window downstairs telling me that the water is coming from above the window, what mark was supposed help fix. I’m at my wits end and cannot afford to keep having multiple people tell me the same thing. I’ve reached out to mark multiple times and nothing has been mentioned about him making anything right. I’m a disabled vet and I cannot get on a ladder and fix it myself. Also see review for comments on marks team standing on my ac unit that’s now gonna cost me to get leveled. I just want my house fixed.

    1.10.2023, BBB received a phone call from Mark J*****. He stated that the customer was advised at the initial contact that all his windows should be replaced. He also had a sliding door that was leaking at the time that should be replaced. The funds were not available to do all the work so we replaced 2 small windows and removed the siding to install house wrap over the exterior of the house. We did replace the 3 pieces of siding that were melted from a grill being to close. We used an exterior wrap by ******* and taped it with ***** seam tape. The materials used exceed the **** Building codes. The house wrap was successful in stopping the water penetration through the sliding door but did not work on the expensive large picture window. I am sorry for him that the house is leaking and additional work is still required. He was advised that additional work would be required in the future. ************* was contacted every time he called or sent a message. We sent him an estimate to replace the Picture window and he wanted it for 1/2 price. When I advised him that would not be possible he was upset.

    This is the same response I got last time. All windows in question have been replaced. House is still leaking after Mark and his team touched my house. Back sliding door was never an issue and never leaked. Mark is pointing fingers and has no accountability for his guys cutting corners.

    I am not sure what Mr ***** would like done? When we spoke to him about the problem initially, we advised new windows and siding. He did not have the funds to do that big of job available. We offered to remove the siding house wrap the back wall and tape the windows and door. The procedure worked on stopping the leak through the sliding door I am assuming because there is no mention of it leaking. The picture window appears to be leaking based on the picture he sent me 2 weeks ago. He sent me a photo of a glass on the bottom window ledge inside catching water. The water appears to be coming through a new window. As far as the water damage to the upstairs that was mentioned. We got a 5" rain in 2 hours. The gutter system on the house is not designed to carry that much water and I am guessing that the water flooded into the soffit and back wall of the house. I found this type of damage on several houses right after the rainstorm I mentioned. A lot of people thought they had a roof problem, but it was not. I do not know what **** is wanting done or thinks he needs done? We did the work that we agreed to do for the price agreed upon. We removed the siding as careful as possible. Installed the house wrap and tape and reinstalled the old siding.

    I respectfully decline. I came to BBB to post a review on services not satisfactory by any means. I’ve attempted to find a resolution with Mark and his company for over a year. I feel that the next option will be in the hands of a judge. Please post my review and complaint and the pictures. Thank you for your time and patience *****. The pictures and complaints/review justify everything that I have said. My house is still not 100%. Who’s to say I ever needed new windows to begin with.
