On November 6, 2023 Mrs ****** ******** agreed to repair and finish my clock 's wood. She agreed to restore and enhance my clock's wood finish. I provided a same day deposit request on 11/6/2023. After over a month I never heard back from her but the owner of *********** Clock Company of Westerville Ohio called me to advise ***** never picked up clock from him to Refinish it. He said he would try to get my deposit back from her but he was unsuccessful. He felt bad because he had recommended her. I waited until now to file a complaint because I wanted to give the owner of the clock Company time to work with this lady who had helped his customers on other prior jobs. In fact, she was not responsive to the owner's request and he learned she was going through financial difficulties. I decided to reach out to her to let her know I was filling a complaint regarding her deceitful collection of $250 deposit because she never completed the job and never phoned me or sent an email ( which she had) to inform me of her decision not to to the work she promised. Additionally, she just offered to do a refund but provided no specific date when she could repay me. As a result I filed a complaint with Discover for fraud and requested a refund. She appears to be a dishonest business woman and I do not want this to happen to another customer.
