    Entered by BBB staff LO Consumer states the business started work at her home on 7/11/23. They finished the job but there are several cracks and a piece of drywall they put over an outlet. There are cracks in the ceilings and the corners. The business was supposed to come out and evaluate everything to have it fixed. There was contact with the business through July and August. The consumer contacted the business via email to let them know she would not be available on the date they chose because she was called on storm duty in August through her job with Illuminating. He showed up anyway, the consumer told him she was not there and she had emailed him to let him know. He got upset and stormed off and told the consumer to never contact him again.

    Homeowner who filed this complaint was acting as her own General Contractor with no experience and not familiar with normal construction business.  We completed the job and the homeowner attempted to short our company money.  After **** ****** demanded that she pay us in full she did.  This homeowner was having issues with all the other sub contractors that worked at her house.  Subsequently she did not pay the other sub contractors inf full and she kicked the sub contractors off the job.   The homeowner and I had a meeting scheduled to review the one year warranty issues.  I showed up to her home as scheduled.  She was not there.  She never contacted me as stated in the complaint that she would not be available for our scheduled meeting.    We have been in business 43 years and  this is the first and only complaint we have ever had.

    I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of my decision appear below.

    No proposed action was offered. **** only made insulting comments and false accusations of my ability to be a GC for building my homeI have documentation of our email conversations along with my 24 hr cancellation of  the appointment. Items listed on the contract were not upheld along with the 1 year warranty. 
    This is very unprofessional and I will never recommend this company to anyone.
