    Technician came out to service the ** unit outside and replaced a capacitor that does not function with the brand my unit was. After calling the distributor of the unit we learned that the part that was installed was the wrong part. This resulted in the motor to the ** fan, burning up and needing to replace both the motor and new capacitor the next day. Due to the fan burning up and having to replace both not even a full day later I have spent over $400 on parts. The technician claimed the capacitor that was taken out of the unit was the same as the installed but after speaking with the distributor, we learned that those units arent even equipped with that same capacitor.

    Was an after hours service call @ 10pm

    technician replaced existing bad capacitor with an exact match of what came out of the unit. If another company put the wrong capacitor in at any point ************** replaced what was in the unit, complaint is not warranted

    I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of my decision appear below.

    A previous technician has never worked on the capacitor. Comment not valid.
