      Business Response

      Date: 06/14/2023

On behalf of Southwoods Health and The Muransky Companies in response to BBB complaint ID #********, ******************** confirmed that United Healthcare (UHC) denied an authorization request for **************** to have a spinal stimulator inserted as a covered benefit under his insurance plan. The timing of the final determination exceeded typical processing times as UHCs administrative offices requested a peer-to-peer review to confirm its position. At Southwoods, we take every patient complaint seriously and in continued efforts to improve the service we provide, our processes and protocols were reviewed to ensure prompt and courteous service was delivered.

      Sincerely,
