The transmission went out on my daughter's car during her first week of school. Stockton Automotive towed the car to their shop. I told Stockton Automotive that I wanted a new transmission put into the car because a new transmission had a 3 year warranty. They quoted me $3,800 over the phone. I paid in advance $4,408.16. After they completed the transmission and before they returned the car, Stockton Automotive told me the car also needed brake pads, rotors turned and new ball bearings. They also said that I owed $125 more to put fluid in the transmission. I did not pay for the fluid. Once the car was released from their shop, I brought the car to my hometown mechanic who said transmission fluid was spewing all over the bottom of the car. My hometown mechanic suggested to take the car back to Stockton so they could put a new transmission in it. They added to get ready to go to court because by the work they were seeing, the shop I took it to was not an honest shop.

On may 17th I was quoted $700 from ********************************* at Stockton automotive *** ******** for ( a new battery, alternator and to correct some wiring). May 20 I went and paid the $700 for the service he said he finished he still didnt let me take the car. He said there was one more issue he would fix for free since he appreciated me as a customer. He then called me letting me know on June 2nd i owe him $600 since the battery cost more then he thought and for the labor. (I had already paid for the battery and labor with the first $700). June 9th he then called me saying I owed his $200 for a new part and labor I never agreed to. All together I paid $1500 the car still didnt start ( July 15th after ********************************* refused to give me a refund for the work that I knew was never done and wouldnt give me the part he ordered that I paid $1500 for I went by ******* and asked if they would run the scanner on my car. I was then explained to that it wouldnt turn on when hooking it up to my car which meant the battery wasnt no good. He looked under the hood and mentioned that the wiring was not done correctly and still was an issue and that the battery was 8 plus years old and would have never been changed in a very long time. The battery nor wiring was ever touched even after the $1500 I paid. I reached out to ********************************* at Stockton automotive 4 different time that is documented and he refused to give a refund even after confronted about the service never being completed. ( The amazing cashier at OReilly found a new battery for me and hooked it up and it cost me $130 and it started right up and had no issue running.)

June 9th, my car started having issues and broke down. I called Stockton, he came out and diagnosed 2 sensors. Told me it would be $450 total and I agreed and took my car up there. He had me fill out new paperwork for new customer and then said the total would be 600. He then told me his card reader wasnt working and that he only took cash or no service. So I agreed as I was already there. Then the total came out to *********************************************************************** the work he did. I left and then realized he didnt give me receipt so I went back and he gave me the same customer worksheet that i filled out and wrote some numbers on it so it isnt even a receipt. Now June 29th; I am having the same vehickle issues and my husband called him and he says he never worked on my car or remembers me. Now he is accusing us of lying and were out 750 dollars when he didnt fix our car. He has done this same fraud to many people in the reviews and on ******** theres a group where other people have said the same thing and been frauded.

June 28 he called me cussing it was the same issue so I said we would take care of it and he continued to cuss and did not think what it was

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

Nobody started cussing or getting irritated until AFTER he was trying to lie. He kept claiming he did not work on a ***** Van or remember us. He admitted to working on our car AFTER I sent him the proof of receipt. The total he first gave me was $450 and then I get there and its somehow $600. Then after he worked on my car, he brought it all up to $750. I have bank receipts from withdrawing cash because he refused to take card. He did not show me what he fixed, he did not give me the old parts, he didnt even want to give me a receipt until I showed up and demanded it. I am not the first woman hes taken advantage of. There are countless women I have been in contact with. Not to mention the lawsuit he has with the Chickasaw. Putting a little bit of oil in my car does not cost $150. He has taken advantage of young women especially ones with children.

    Sincerely,

    *******************

I took my a to Stockton Automotive on or around 11/10/22. The mechanic said he put in a new starter and the car still would not start. After we settled the bill, he said he would tow my car home at no charge. I have been calling, leaving voicemails and texting multiple times. He called me this morning and was extremely rude. He said I had an attitude problem and I could pick up the car anytime. he also said he didn't have the keys which I had placed in the drop box next to the shop door. It is now 11/30, almost 3 weeks after I dropped it off.
