This is not a legit company to deal with. We were assigned to a legal firm on the same day we registered with the company, which has the lowest customer satisfaction. We requested to terminate our agreement after they said they can't change. This situation should be addressed and they never sent our money back.Business Response

**** the representative of Legal shield said the law firm would need a copy of my warranty and they would calll the dealership to dispute anything w/in the warranty to help with lemon law claim. When I called the secretary to give them information she said I needed to get the last name of the representative and When I called the representative he told me to tell her his name is just **** and that he was a representative of legal shield. When I tried calling back she didn’t answer. When I called **** I told him nothing happened the way he described before taking payment he told me to call the dealership myself and to call him back, I just canceled and requested a refund and they are saying I won’t get a refund.Business Response

I have been making complaint about legalshield on here for awhile now. All they do is have someone call you and ask you what's the issuse open all the files back and then nothing. From my experience this company does not provide what they advertised. The only call back when I complaint is made on here with no real resolution. They do not support their customers as plaintiff only if the customer is a defendant. The free consultation they claim is nit free they refer you to other lawyers who consults is $300 or more and the referring law has no idea what your talking about when I say lawshield say the consultation is free. Two different lawyers aren't going to say the samething. They claim they help with filling paperwork i was told they do not. They claim they help with bankruptcy but right now am paying for my chapter 13 because the lawyer they referred me didn't won't to do my 13 he real did want to do my 7. At this point all of my money for this year needs to come back to me. They definitely do not offer what they sayBusiness Response

My experience with this company has been nothing but frustrating and disappointing. I’ve been trying to obtain a basic trust benefit worth \$250—something that is covered under my plan and should be simple and straightforward. Instead, I’ve been bounced around from one representative to another, with no one taking ownership or providing real help. The attorneys denied to help on something so basic! Every time I ask for assistance from legal shield I get excuses and delays. They do not help me at all, but I'm paying them a lot each month!
All I asked for was a *basic trust*, but instead of delivering on that, they play verbal gymnastics trying to justify why they “can’t” do it. The truth is, they *won’t*—not because it’s not possible, but because they simply don’t want to. It’s clear they have no intention of helping, and they make it as difficult as possible to get what you’re rightfully owed.
Their customer service is unresponsive and apathetic. No one seems to care about resolving issues, and I’m left completely frustrated. This company has shown me that they do not value their customers or stand behind their promises.

Upon receipt of this Better Business Bureau Complaint, we have reviewed the membership file. The Trust
Service provided to Mr. ***** through his membership is for a basic Revocable Living Trust for his state of
residence for a fee of $250.00, once per membership year. The Revocable Living Trust Service exclusions
include but are not limited to, complex estate distributions, asset retitling, deeds, and beneficiary forms. The
Provider Law Firm who services the membership, informed Mr. ***** what he needs is more than the
Revocable Living Trust Service due to the nature of the property and co-ownership. Therefore, the applicable
membership service available to Mr. ***** is a discounted rate. He was provided with a discounted rate to an
attorney to assist with the correct type of Trust.

I have reviewed each email address I use to locate account information or communication from Legalshield previously known to me as Prepaid Legal. I used each email to determine if I had an account but could not locate anything. Each month, this company takes almost $30 from my account without any communication of a pending payment or a contact number. Times are really tight, and I would like the automatic debits to be discontinued, especially since I cannot find any regular communication from this company on the product or services it provides.Business Response

Cancels my 26 years of legal services, my 400 hours of prepaid court legal representation, and all other covered benefits.
Cancellation was arbitrary and capacious with reference to some unknown general provision, and the legal shield headquarters refused to address one question regarding this providers obsure cancellation, and I have been told to get a lawyer to address this cancellation.

LegalShield promise is to provide an attorney to represent me for a moving vehicle violation. I requested an attorney for representation to challenge the citation. After 6 weeks and several emails back and forth requesting representation to plead not guilty, I was never assigned an attorney. I have been a member of LegalShield for over 25 years and paid them over $10k over those 25 years. I should not have to beg for them to provide the service they promised and I am paying for. I ended up paying $200 and going to traffic school to get the ticket dismissed to avoid having points off my driver license.Business Response

Legal shield debited my account 14 times for 1.00. I had canceled the identity protection and legal shield. They still took the money out of my account causing my student loan payment to bounce. They gave me the run around with attorneys and the attorneys wouldn't even call back. I want a refund of the 14 dollars, and the two months fee of ove 52.00 taken out of my account.Business Response
