      I purchased trusses from Quality Truss Line in March 2025. They were built to accommodate a cathedral ceiling. Upon erecting them we noticed that the trusses were not in plane - meaning straight. Thus making it impossible to install a straight ceiling. The owner came out to look at them and agreed that they were not in plane and the apex would not meet at the half-way point in the center of the ceiling. It would be impossible, short of replacing all of the trusses, to rectify the situation. In addition, where there was supposed to be a 4 foot window on the opposite side of the house where the ***** was that he designed, however, once again the trusses were not straight and instead of a 4 foot window it would only accommodate a 2' window leaving half of the loft in the dark.When I asked him what he would do about it he said he already did, he gave me advice on how to fix his mistakes!! That I would have to hire a ********* to re-plane the entire ceiling, causing it to be lower on one side and not meet in the center.Then he said it would be my responsibility to have his mistake repaired! I then asked him why should I have to pay for his mistake? He is the one who designed them, he supposedly has engineers that should have ensured they were in plane before delivering ******* he was leaving he said he would refund me $1,000 to have it repaired and that I would have to hire someone but I told him that he should be the one to hire a ********* because if I hired a ********* who did not do a good job I would have no recourse to the company, in addition it may cost $1,000s more if the only way to fix his mistakes is to remove the trusses and have new ones built.
