OKC Renovations was hired to complete home repairs/renovation due to our BRAND new home (built 10 months prior to the loss) getting struck by lightning on 6/8/22. It caught fire and had significant water damage. The company redid our roof and partially redid our attic but they did so with lesser materials than we had pre-loss. They also re-used materials and did not replace materials that the insurance was paying for. We paid them $180,888 and the work they completed was not at all close to that much money. They failed to provide accurate receipts/invoices/support of where the money went. Our attic was left in shambles and we had to hire a different contractor to finish the job after firing OKC Renovations on March 28, 2023. OKC Renovations has since harassed us asserting we owe them $19,700 which is outrageous and completely false. The “estimate” he provided to get to this number has over $20k of items that he for sure did not complete. We have an independent home inspectors report of the horrific attic, photos of when we fired him to show the condition of the home at that time, the bank inspectors contact information who urged us not to release anymore money to OKC Renovations, and a timeline of events that occurred. OKC Renovations failed to get our home to pre-loss condition and took way more money from us than they delivered in work to our home. We wanted to sue them initially but were exhausted from the process as we were out of our home for over a year. Now he has put a FALSE lien on our home and will not remove it despite our attorney sending him a timeline of events and advising him it is a false lien.
My family has been through enough and I feel OKC renovations will be doing this to more people which I want to stop. I also want the false lien removed from our home.

We worked for Mr ****** and provided everything he asked for and all pricing was upfront before job begin.  He is trying to get free kitchen cabinets is what the issue is he tricked us into purchasing them knowing he was going to keep them without paying.  I offered to fix any issues but that wasn't his goal.  He obviously didn't want anything replaced he wanted to extort us out of Money.  We have our attorney involved to get this resolved but he has a order to not publicly discuss this situation .

I am rejecting this response because:

OKC Renovations purchased the kitchen cabinets with the insurance money WE GAVE HIM. The cabinets costed about $3,400 (have proof of this). We paid OKC Renovations $180,888. He is focusing on the cabinets and not on the fact that he hardly did any of the repair work to our home yet he took a majority of the insurance money. The insurance money provided to him was not used on our house. I will be taking this to the local news stations, social media, and other avenues as well because Mr. ***** has completely taken  advantage of my family and ruined our attic. Rather than acknowledge that we already paid him WAY more than he actually used towards our home, he has placed a false lien on our home. I feel his actions have been absolutely  disgusting, ridiculous, vile, slimy, unprofessional, and not someone that I believe should be running any kind of business. I fear for anyone in Oklahoma who considers working with Mr. Luman.

      Sincerely,
