      After an extensive renovation, we encountered a slab leak in 10/2023 ruining our new hardwood floors & halted the install of our new kitchen. With insurance claim delays, our demo became possible 09/2024. Our contractor recommended his floor *********** did a great job removing the old floors & reinstalling new #1 4" white oak floors-$13K in just hardwoods. Once they applied dark stain the finish looked striped in rows-see bottom photo of the stripes. They offered to fix it but did not know the cause. I paid them & moved on seeking referrals. We were on a time crunch for the holidays & to install the kitchen. A client referred me to *** of Premier Floor ************. Installer ****** was super confident-adamant about the mistakes the other crew made. Multiple times he said "I guaranty our work-your floor will look exactly like this sample I guaranty it." He suggested to water-******* went w/ his opinion on stain. I gave him a key & moved out over Thanksgiving-trusting ****** fully. I stopped over after they waterpopped to find humidity & very wet wood.They stained & started to top coat BUT the floors looked buckled & warped-just like our damaged floors-see photos. I asked for ************ to meet. ****** had dropped off a humidity monitor & said the home was humid. A respected state inspector said they over-watered the job. *** said it didn't look as bad as expected. ****** had turned my heat up to 78* & said I need to dehumidify-that I should keep the heat on 78 for a few wks which cracked ALL my paint,trim,crown & molding I had freshly painted. Neither would return my calls to resolve. I chased after them wanting to be home for **************** back in. They refused to talk or come back out. I had a difficult time getting anyone to touch Premier's job causing further delays. Finally-4.5 months later a skilled crew made my floors perfect & I have a $12K paint job to fix cracks from drying out my home. *** also liened my house for $6,029.74. It's their turn to pay.
