We moved into this as our first apartment in May of 2023 as me and my roommates first property. When me and my roomate moved in we had a property manager named ****** and she was awesome. We did find out within 3 months that this property wasnt spacious enough and wanted to upgrade. We asked the property manager what that would take and she told us a written letter with at least 60 days notice. We provided the letter same day and gave it to ******. Today on April 29th I called the new property manager to make sure everything looked good and to also get specifics on move out protocols. He told us that they never received notice and that we would be charged 3 months rent for leaving early or be responsible for 2 months if we gave notice that day. I tried to tell him that we gave it to the previous property manager but he said they never received anything. I asked to speak to his supervisor and when I got on the phone she said the same thing. I am extremely frustrated because it is delaying our plans for a clerical error. Supervisor was kind but refused to budge even though we have witnesses and their previous property manager cant be reached. I do suspect malicious intent or unfair practices as I feel if they cared or didnt intend to entrap us a conclusion or compromise could have been achieved.

***** the building manager has been polite and professional but our issue just isn't getting resolved. We moved out in Oct and paid the early termination fee. They accidentally charged us for November rent on the app. Our notice to vacate says we are not responsible for Nov rent. They applied what i sent for the termination fee to November rent. There was no communication until I began calling to check about our deposit. I have called several times over the last month to have this resolved and they acknowledged the mistake. However at the time of this writing the "debt", $943, was sent to a collections agency. I don't care about getting back the deposit, i just dont want this reaching my credit, I've never had anything negative on there. We keep being told by building management thay we dont owe anything and the issue is fixed but the collections agency still has an open account. I should not be the one having to remind them to clear this. I moved out two months ago and shouldnt have to keep calling them.
