    Abhorrent Lack of Professionalism and Service Misconduct I am writing to share my experience with Shockley Tax Advisory and express my dissatisfaction with the service provided by ******** Shockley (owner). During our interaction, I encountered several significant issues:Failure to Follow Agreed-upon Format: Despite our agreement for a video meeting, the session was conducted without video, deviating from the intended format.Lack of Direction and Knowledge: Throughout the meeting, ******** failed to direct the conversation effectively and displayed a lack of professionalism and competence in her role as the professional advisor.Dismissive and Aggressive Responses to Concerns: When raising legitimate concerns, ******** responded dismissively, distantly, or even aggressively, demonstrating a concerning lack of regard for client feedback and professionalism.Charging for ************* Despite exhibiting poor behavior and failing to deliver the expected level of service, Shockley Tax Advisory charges clients, suggesting a troubling pattern of prioritizing financial gain over client satisfaction. She will charge $75 for a 15 minute phone call and $100 for 30 minutes.Overall, my experience with Shockley Tax Advisory was deeply unsatisfactory due to the lack of professionalism and service misconduct displayed by ********.I am sharing this review to caution potential consumers and customers against patronizing Shockley Tax Advisory, as they are likely to encounter similar issues and be treated poorly.

    In my opinion this business is very rude, deceptive and feels like it does not have a customers best interest in mind.

    In 2022 I had a non standard tax situation that one of their Sr. Tax consultants helped me with and even wrote a letter to document the situation and provide to my employer. As part of this discussion I was told that we would have to do the correction in 2023.

    Fast forward to this year 2023 and I return to Shockley to have my return filed and complete this. I tried for at least 2 week to get a hold of the Sr. consultant from 2022. He would not return calls and the receptionist could not even get ahold of him. So I was directed to make an appointment to talk to another of the tax consultants.

    When I showed up for the appointment the consultant could not follow the letter from 2022 and repeatedly said that he could not help me. After about 10 min of this and having explain the scenario multiple time and the tax guy keep saying not to get mad at him there was nothing he could do. So I left and as I was leaving he used profanity and followed me out of the business verbally badgering me and continued until I got in the my car and left.

    Unfortunately, this instance is not as is stated above. We checked all of our phone call logs, and the cell phone log of our Sr. Tax Advisor, and there were not any phone calls from Mr. *******. Unfortunately, he may not have had the correct number. We did not have record of his calls as stated above.

    We did meet with Mr. ******* and attempted to help him with his situation. He refused to provide us the documentation needed to resolve his issue. When explained to him that we are unable to help him without the proper documents, the meeting escalated. At that point, the Tax Department Head, had to escort Mr. ******* out of the office as he became belligerent and unruly in the office. We did walk him out to the door to ensure he would leave and not cause any further disruption. Mr. ******* returned a second time continually cussing at my staff. We then lead him out to his car to ensure he would leave and not return to the office and cause a further scene.

    My Tax Department Staff did the best they could with the situation at hand and it unfortunately became an escalated moment, which is not common for my business.

    Stating that their phone records do not support this is another example of poor service because I have a signed written letter from this business from 2022 with their physical address and phone number. This is the number I used to contact the business.

    I did have all of the tax documentation for this tax year to resolve this issue, the Sr tax advisor did not want to take the documentation. He wanted to argue that he could not help me and send me someplace else.

    I did not leave and return to the business as I was offended by the Sr. tax advisor while I was in his office. So I was wanting to leave the office as quickly as possible.

    At this point arguing doing a he said she said argument does not help anyone. The purpose of this is review is to share my bad experience with this business to BBB customers. Future customers should take this experience into consideration when doing business with this company.
