On May 22nd, 2024, I went into TechDaddy to get my ****** yoga 9i screen replaced because it had a hairline fracture and the touchscreen stopped working. *****, the owner, quoted me $550 for labor and parts, and I paid that day, waited for the part to come in, and then took my computer in for repairs. Upon getting my computer back on June 5th, the screen and touch was repaired, but the lower screen bezel was warped and dysfunctional now. I made a comment on the damages, and ***** pushed it back down, still clearly warped, and told me that should fix it, be careful and come back if it becomes a problem. Immediately after opening it the next time, the hinge cover popped back off, so I texted, and got a call back telling me he was willing to repair it for just the cost for the part. When I went to buy the part he would not disclose the true price of the part and quoted me $75 when I was finding the same part for $30-40. He offered for me to buy it on my own and they would install it, but I dont find this fitting for damages done by the company. The contract I signed: Device Check-in/General Diagnostics clearly states my frame condition was mint, which is not the case now. It also states TechDaddy will perform a full inspection on the device prior to starting the repair and after the repair has been completed. If other problems are found with the device, we will contact the owner before finishing the repairIt can be argued the first inspection wasnt thorough, otherwise the possibility of my frame being damaged would have been discussed, and a full inspection wasnt had at the end of repairs either. He also did not contact me about the damages caused, leading to him sending me on my way with an almost fixed computer.

We are very displeased to hear you feel this way about us which has resulted in you making this complaint. We pride ourselves in providing the best quality services before and after the sale. We go above and beyond for all of our customers to the best of our ability. After fixing the issue you had originally came in for a different issue arose which was unfortunately a result of a manufacturer flaw and not due to a mistake during repair. We performed the repair for you the same day the device was brought in and contacted you upon completion. The piece you are referring to is NOT the frame but a cosmetic piece referred to as a Bezel which is simply to hide the lower part of the screen. Upon pickup is when the new issue was discovered that the bezel would not stay in place after the new screen had been installed. We offered multiple options. 1.)You can provide the part and we install that part free of charge or 2.) We can order that part at the cost mentioned and perform the repair. The second option was agreed to and after the agreement was made and we had placed an order for the part customer was still displeased and asked for proof of part cost and our supplier information which is confidential information. At customers request, a refund was placed for the price of the part that was originally agreed upon. We are still happy to offer you the same 2 options that were originally presented. Feel free to call us or to stop by the store and we will gladly help resolve this issue.

I am rejecting this response because:  These options for business are not satisfactory, because they are another profit for your business, and I will continue to understand it as that until I am shown proof that the products price is honorable. It is my preference to know what Im paying for is within your conditions of action to make this situation right; conditions being that I am only paying for the price of the product damaged.
This is also not a fair offer, because the part of my computer that was damaged, was damaged by your company, and couldve been avoided during repairs. The possibility that this piece could be damaged was not discussed beforehand or properly examined after the fact, which shows negligence and a very unprofessional solution, due to the fact that your company can write it off during taxes.
You were at fault, and did not handle it professionally.
