On July 25th, 2023, we received the invoice from ****** Gerber of Gerber Pool Services LLC in the amount of $15,468.00. We agreed to the work to be done with an exception of installing a pool light and fixing a filter issue from *** at Poolscapes (completely different story altogether). Within a couple of weeks, we paid 50% of the material fees to ****** Gerber to get the liner ordered, skimmer ordered, and vermiculite ordered to repair the Poolscapes issues. ****** showed up to receive the check, took a few measurements of the pool, and left. Several weeks later, we started getting excuses for delays. Weather. Another job taking longer than expected. Then, he began not responding to inquiries about when he would be back to do more work. In late August, we requested that the job be postponed until January due to some issues with both ******** ability to finish and our situation at home. He said he would reach out in January. In MAY of 2024 (8 months after the 50% down deposit), I finally reached out and waited a few weeks for a response. At the end of May, he finally agreed to a finish timeline. He said it would take about 1 1/2 weeks to finish once he started. He said he was about 2 weeks from starting. July 2nd, I reached out again since he had not responded or called to start the work. He came out and measured the for the liner, again, and cutout the skimmer/concrete. The workers left a mess behind that is still there today. The liner has been cut out and is piled up at the shallow end of the pool. Finally, on August 19th, I asked ****** for an invoice on all funds he has spent on the project to date. He REFUSED to provide an invoice (doubt he has spent any money on materials - no proof). I informed him that I wanted the liner, skimmer, and any other materials he has purchased to date and that I would find someone else to finish. He said the liner would arrive in the next 5 days. It is now 10 days later and ****** is not responding...again!

****** Gerber, Gerber Pools, was hired by me, ***************************, to redo my pool. I paid 1/2 down, $5,300 on May 15th. They started draining my pool on June 5th, came back on June 6th taking off the tile around the top of the pool. The workers didnt come back till June 12th to resume working on the pool. They started laying my new tile around the top edge of the pool. I asked if they could turn them a different way so the pattern flowed better. The owner, ******, told me no that the arrows shows which way to apply. The tiles are a 6x6 you can turn them anyway you want. He didnt care what I wanted. They tore out spots and added a bonding agent for the plaster. They were to come back and apply the silicone to the tops of the tile to cover the large gap to keep water from going behind the tiles but didnt. The plaster was done on June 18th and they asked why it hadnt been caulked yet above the tiles. I told them they didnt come back to do it. So water was turned on June 19th filling the pool, still had not caulked yet. After it was filled Gerber Pools guys came back to caulk. On their bellies caulking upside down making a mess. They did not clean up well at all. They finally installed the rail and was to try to clean up the old light in the pool. Instead of cleaning the old light ****** went and purchased a new LED light and spent $950 on the light without at least approving that much money for a light. I would have never spent that on a light. He had it already installed before I got home. I paid the balance $$6,868, very unhappy with the light charge. On July 4th I got into the pool with my grandchildren and they told me look **** there are holes everywhere above the tiles. So I text ****** on July 15th with Gerber Pools letting him know that I needed all these holes recaulked and clean up the mess they made. It is July 22nd and I have not heard a thing, no response.
