I moved out and gave more than 3 months notice. I was told I would get prorated since I moved out on the 6th, but they are trying to charge me for an entire additional month. On top of that, they had my security deposit and claimed I didn't have one so they are adding fees to me for their cleaning, both replacing and cleaning carpets which was in good condition as it was just me and a 12 year old. They moved me into a dump with things broken, not cleaned and mold all over - roaches, snakes, bugs, etc, and smoke and weed smells all the time. They are taking advantage of me and as s single mom don't have these kind of fees and I'm livid. Have to reach out for a lawyer for help. I want that prorated as they promised 3 times and their cleaning fees are not my responsibility - that is theirs and nothing states I am responsible for these things according to the lease.

My wife and I moved into country club apartments in June of 2020 and lived there for over 2 years we were approved for rental assistance under the covid program and I had notified and communicated with the manager on duty several occasions that they would be receiving their payment soon because I was in fact behind they went ahead and decided to take us to court for eviction proceedings. My wife and I contacted legal aid in Muskogee and signed a contract however our lawyer did not show up for court because she had covid. however at that time the other legal aid stepped in and made a deal stating that if we just moved and walked away from the apartment they would forgive all of our past rent of $2,521 that we owed and never place an eviction on our future apartment locating. Basically we would be free and clear of anything that we were owed that was on June 19h of 2022 so after living there for 2 years without any complaints ever we were told that we had 7 days to be remove all over things for eviction although we were approved under the covid renal assistance program. They had rescheduled court again for the 23rd of June and at that time the manager who worked at country club had already signed and accepted the money that I owed for my past to rent of $2,521 as well as 3 months of future payments on June 22nd before the court hearing ever took place again. It was too late at this time because we had already moved all of her things and had been evicted I called the rental assistance and notified them that it had been unlawfully accepted that we were no longer living there they were shocked and so I also contacted corporate at Atlas and I was just basically told that the money would be refunded minus the money that I owed although in court I was never supposed to pay a dime. This has left my wife who was disabled with cancer and I homeless completely without a home after 2 years. We seek a new apartment under Atlas at another location with our present assistance.
