December of 2022. ****** reached out to us, said he could help us get our roof repaired and he would do all the leg work with the insurance company. This he did indeed. The first check was issued by our insurance company for over $9000. **** of The Wolf of roofing said he needed the first insurance payment up front to order shingles to get started. We called our insurer to see if giving money up front was recommended. Our insurance agent said some companies do require money up front, he also stated he has done insurance with **** and insured his car. We thought he was legit. He met us at the bank to get the check from our insurance company endorsed to him. The bank would not do it up front. **** called us everyday to inquire about the check. We should have found him anxious and suspect at that time but didn't. When the check cleared, he sent his trainee to get the check. He told us there were a few houses in front of us but he would order shingles ASAP so the shingles would be on hand when it was time to start on our roof, which would be in a couple of months. After the couple of months, he would not return our calls. My wife called him from a different telephone number and he gave her his health issue story and that he was in legal trouble and couldn't talk about it. ****** later he sent a text and said he should be able to get to us in 2 months. He has also told our insurance agent the same thing. But still no roof. With the recent storm damage in *****, we told him the news stations want to know about scammers at a time like this. He messaged us and said, I will make arrangements with you in the morning. Again nothing. He has given us excuse after excuse and promise after promise with no roof only to buy more time. He seems very sincere and honest when he is in your home making the deal. Do not fall for it, even after all these months, he can convince you there is still a possibility he may do the right thing. But we still have no roof.

A representative from the company had came out to get us an estimate at the property who we hadn't even call they were just driving around business to business knocking on doors. as we were in need of having our roof replaced we aske if they would get us an estimate they said yes and proceeded to start measuring our roof. As I worked on the insurance end of things on my side the roofer asked me to let him know what was happening with the insurance situation and they would want to meet my adjuster on the property when they came I said ok. the day the adjuster was at the motel Nick from the roofing company was as he said on his way to Austin and would not be available to meet the adjuster personally but he had someone in the tulsa office that would be able to meet the adjuster.
As time went on back and for text were sent non of which I said I was awarding their company the job he had asked me if the funds had arrived from the insurance and told me he would come by to pick the check up or would have an associate of his pick it up I had told him that we are getting a few other estimates. He had also went as far as telling me that his information should be on the check. I placed a call to my adjuster and asked them if the said roofing companies is anywhere on my estimate where my adjuster informed me that he himself is the one who wrote up the estimate that they would be using for the payment for the loss nothing from the roofing company is being used at the time we sent out the check.
On the 29th I informed Nick that I would be going with a different company and he said that he would be sending me a bill for his time. Mind you I haven't signed any kind of a contract nor had i verbally told them the job was theirs. No estimate has even been presented till date. The characteristic that they are showing are more of extorting money from small businesses especially with the ridiculous bill of $3444.79 if paid by 9/2/2022 or $6889.59. making up a bill as he see fit
