April of 2022 we hired Aqua Pleasures & Norris Construction out of ***************** to replace our pool liner. They were also going to redo the concrete decking, replace the privacy fence on one side, tear down/haul off a small shed and extend the concrete there so we could build a larger shed. Once the liner was removed, we saw walls which had rusted through. At this point we decided to tear out the old pool and replace it. Another invoice was drawn up (at this point we had paid them $12,616.31 and owed $4100 for the first invoice). The 2nd invoice said we had to make 3 payments: 1 before breaking ground, 2 after walls are set and 3 upon completion. The 2nd payment was made 8/15/22 when walls were set and we paid another $3,664.95 on 9/7/22 for a Jandy salt water system( *** told us the guy had one left in stock, so we needed to go ahead and get it). A year later (April 2023) they finally came out to start concrete decking. Concrete they poured had many cracks running through it the next day. The retaining wall they poured for the new fence also cracked and slab for shed was not square (something discovered by the company who came out to install new shed). At this point *** told us he was not physically able to do the concrete. We hired someone else to come in and finish/fix the concrete work, but *** said he could still finish the pool and fence. For the next two weeks we did not hear from the company despite calling and texting each day. On 6/6/23 my wife went to their store to find out when they were going to come finish. *** told her they would not be finishing the job or returning any of the money we had already paid them. We had paid them $49,852.63 at this point (the last payment would have been $9,300). We paid over $10,000 to get the concrete fixed/done and we are now going to have to pay over $14,000 just to get the pool/fence done. This company took our money, drug our project out over a year and then walked away leaving us with an unfinished pool and fence.
