Living in an older home, the bathroom needed updating and so did the electrical panels to accommodate the new bathtub. Unbeknownst to me, the electrician failed to create a switch to reconnect the ac compressor back to the electric panel. They would service the unit several times through the years and even gave me a quote for a new hvac unit, but failed to mention that the air compressor was not connected to the electrical panel nor did it have a switch. Fast forward to today. I contacted their business for a new hvac estimate as well as 3 different independent contractors. Hunters devised a new estimate without coming to the home based on their previous quote and knowledge of the home. The other contractors visited and all 3 said you dont have a switch on the electrical panel to turn off the air compressor and thats not up to code. This was the first time that I became aware that there was no switch on the panel. I informed the 3 contractors that Hunter had updated the panel for the bathtub and they suggested I go back to Hunters to address this issue. However, Hunters stands by the fact that the electrical panel was installed correctly and that there were no issues with its installation. They have even gone further to say that services irrelevant to the hvac and electric panel issues were declined. We trusted them to be honest and forthright and provide the services that were needed when the electrical panel was upgraded.

First call that we had from the customer was to replace the breaker panel. She accepted the estimate and we sent a licensed Journeyman Electrician to do the replacement. Nothing was ever done with the Meter Base or Exterior Condenser Unit. Everything was done to proper code Specifications. Second call was because of some damage to their Meter Base and Riser due to a storm. We sent another Journeyman Electrician out there. He noticed that the Circuit for the Outside Condenser was tied directly to the Meter Base and not to the Breaker Panel. This is a code violation and he could not legally hook it back up this way. He called the customer on a recorded line and informed her of this issue. He told her he could run her a new circuit to that condenser if she would like, but that he could not hook it back up the way it was. On the recorded call, the customer informed him that they no longer use that **** Unit and if they were to ever get a new one, then she would have that circuit ran properly at that time, but plainly stated that she did not want that circuit ran at that time. My electrician repaired the meter base and riser and did not reconnect the wiring to the **** Condenser. Now the customer is trying to get a new **** System and she claims that we should've ran that circuit to her Condenser when we done the Panel replacement on the first call. I have explained to her that this was not part of that scope of work and was not needed to replace that panel properly. She wanted the circuit done for free and wanted a refund of the original work. We have done everything that was given to her in an estimate that she accepted and agreed to, and we are not in the business of doing additional work for free. We will gladly install the circuit for her for a fee. We have all the phone conversations with the customer. This customer is completely irrational and unwilling to understand the facts of this, even when hearing the recording of her telling us not to do the work.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

This is the dispute that their first Journey Man was the person who disconnected the exterior condenser unit and installed a new breaker panel without a breaker for the exterior condenser unit to be reconnected.

I have requested their services over the years and they cant tell you one time when I failed to pay after completed services or even asked for financed service. So to assume I want free service would be a false statement. I want a service to be correct and receive what I paid for. In their recordings they should have several with me, including the one with discussions of botched jobs of the first Journey Man. As well as their employee telling me he would make things right with the services that were received. Furthermore, the second Journey Man stated that the first Journey Man was not a residential electrician but a commercial electrician who may not have known how to do the work properly. He continued saying some of this **************** had to be reworked. This is one of those projects and all I ask is why shouldnt I expect the work to be done correctly and why would I not expect them to honor the work that I originally paid for. The exterior condenser was disconnected by their 1st employee and it was the 2nd employee who made reference to it and then wanted to charge me to correct it.

    Sincerely,
