On September 20, 2022 we signed a water well drilling contract with Ron and Aqua Drill for a "Turn Key Well." We paid a percentage that day and was told/signed on the contract that drilling would be completed within 20 business days. Ron called December 20th, 2022 requesting more money as they had finally brought their equipment to our property. We paid the agreed amount and began setting up the site. I contacted the water resources board over Oklahoma on December 27th, 2022 after many issues and leaking from the drilling rig that was towed to ur property. This leaking continued into the end of January. The actual "drilling" did not begin until February 20th. By February 27th, the ground pits had set so long they were starting to clump together and had already settled . On March 9th/10th, 2023 Ron called stating that the water well was completed and he wanted the rest of the contract payment. When I told him that we still had not seen water after six months, he threatened to place a contractor's lien on the property and not finish developing the well. These threats continued constantly during the day while I was at work and into the evening time. I finally told the water board in Oklahoma City what was going on and they came down and inspected the well. It met their minimal standards, however, he was in violation as he was not on site during the drilling, he had a worker under him drill it that was not certified. The well was 190 feet rather than the 225 feet that was contracted. After many phone calls threatening payment or a lien placement, we agreed to pay him partial payment of the remaining balance, which was $4,000 out of the $6,057.97 that was remaining. He assured us on March 10th it would be pumped and developed within the week. He responded with his answer weekly when we would call and ask for an update, it would be the next day and that we needed to have patience. The contract stated that we would be given daily updates throughout the process.
