    I went to a consultation and 3D X-Ray where I and my insurance were charged more than $500 for less than 1 hour of service. I was advised that I needed a root canal costing me thousands out of pocket.

    I saved up money for the root canal and called the business today, 11/19, to schedule it. They advised that I would need to pay more for another consultation and scan before I could have the root canal done.

    I feel like this is a very poor business practice and honestly a cash grab.

    We disclose all costs and procedures with patients multiple times when they initially call to schedule, at their check in visit and again at the end of the their visit. Patients are provided with very clear pre-treatment estimates based off of their insurance and what they have left for that calendar year. The amounts that the person filing this complaint are stating we charged them are false and inaccurate. 

    In order for us to provide the most accurate treatment and care for our patients, consultations are required before treatment can be performed. If a patient waits too long (ex: 2 months or longer) before having a procedure, a new consultation is necessary in order to provide the most accurate care and estimate for the patient. Several times, a matter of 2 months or more can result in an infection getting much worse or the tooth could become not restorable. In addition, for those patients that require a new consultation we typically waive the majority of the consultation fee and only collect a small portion out of pocket for the rescan. The person filing this complaint can state that we are a "cash grab" all they want, but my job as a health care provider is to provide accurate diagnosis and treatment and waiting almost half of a year before deciding to having a procedure done would require a $75 rescan of the tooth to confirm that additional treatment (ex: such as incision and drainage or extraction if the tooth is not restorable) would be required. 

    We are well-known for providing excellent customer service and patient care. We also value patient satisfaction and quality of care as our utmost priority.
