    Around March 1, 2023 I contacted Suntech to diagnose and repair my air-conditioning unit located at my home. A technician came and informed me it would be approximately $4900.00 to repair it; however, they could replace it with the same brand new unit, along with a 10 year warranty for approximately $7900.00. I was retiring in May and the Unit was already 13 years old so I decided to save some headache's and replace the whole unit. The unit was installed on 3/15/23. The first issue was that the unit was installed crooked in the opening then after several other issues the job was complete. There were no problems in the summer and then in January or February of 2024 there was a long cold period where the temperature outside did not get above 30 degrees and the heater would not heat the house above 65 inside.
    A Tech was sent out and after a week the thermostat was replace because of the configuration of the unit.
    Now the fan only has 2 or 3 speeds in the heat mode. It is supposed to be a variable speed ultra quite fan like the Original Unit. NOTE; the original unit was a ***** * ********* The unit they replace it with is a ***** * *******.
    I am not a heat and air Tech and can not tell you the difference other than the numbers are different and the units do not work the same.
    Now they want $138.00 to diagnose the problem which should be a warrantee issue, but because I didn't have a service contract it is not covered.
    I have talked to **** at Suntech about the difference in the units and he assured me they were the same although the filter on the new unit had to be relocated under the floor of the closet where the units sits.
    I am retired from the DOD and on a fixed income. I am not able to fork out $138.00 just to look at the unit that they assured me was under a 10 year warrantee.
    It is my belief that this is a lesser unit than what I had, maybe someone who I could trust could verify that for me and get it replaced or fixed. They got paid, now they need to stand
