I adopted 2 kittens from second chance let rescue and it does in their contract that they do not adopt out sick animals. However, they told me my kittens were perfectly healthy but when I picked the up they were sneezing, coughing, weazing and have trouble breathing. The manager/owners name is Cheryl. I had complained about how they lied to me and then said there was nothing they could do. In the end, second Chance paid for the vet visit and the diagnoses was upper respiratory infections in both kittens. She proceeded to be unprofessional and extremely rude. My concern is that they are adopting out sick animals to people who have no idea.

When we adopted kittens out to adopter they were fine, They had been to the doctor that day to be spayed/neutered and had a clean bill of health. When adopter called and said kittens were sneezing/coughing and that she could not afford to pay for a vet bill after signing a contract stating that she had 5 days to take to the vet to get seen. She violated her contract by not taking to the vet. I stated that I would take to the vet to get seen to see what was wrong with them. The kittens smelled of cigarettes smoke and doctor felt they were having allergies due to the environment they were in. Doctor gave an antibiotic injection to help with issues. After speaking with adopter and informing her of what doctor said she stated she would not smoke around kittens any longer. When kittens left foster care they were healthy and happy kittens and not sick, this happened after adoption took place. We did everything in our power to make sure animals were taken care of even when adopter violated her adoption contract.
