    Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/10/31) */
Complaint filer and several others had their credit cards compromised by a hacker in Belguim (country data from Stripe CC processor). Those stolen card numbers were then ran for small transactions (50 cents) on our public facing online invoice payment system without our authorization or knowledge by a bot. When we discovered this, we shut down our processing and added a Captcha Verification to our public facing site to prevent bots from running further transactions. Then we talked to Stripe customer service and had around 600 transactions refunded back to customers that had their credit cards stolen by someone else and ran through our account. They told us it should be 5 to 10 days for the refunds to get back into the original accounts, which means all refunds should be in place by now. Several people contacted us and we informed them the situation and told them to cancel their cards and to change their card numbers because someone overseas has it and tested it to verify that it works so the rest of their account is at risk. Most people were appreciative of this information and knowledge we provided. It's unfortunate that someone claiming to be well versed in IP and SSL would use the terms wrong and not be able to figure out the actual source of the place the card was compromised. We recommend checking recent online sales histories where the card number was entered for an online purchase over an unsecured channel to figure out the source of the breach. It's likely a hacker in Belguim hacked an ecommerce website and was able to funnel out valid card numbers from sales history, because that's normally how breaches like this occur. And not from a small business in Oklahoma trying to take people 50 cents at a time. We're sorry this user has been inconvenienced, but it's minimal compared to how our company has been inconvenienced by this and we've taken steps to make sure it won't happened again.

When breaches like these occur there are ALWAYS official communication on the "alleged" intrusion and how the business or card processor plans to resolve any fiscal or other damages .. Thos is about your system being easilly breached and me being a VICTIM I don't need to be versed in anything to know this is unacceptable and frankly pretty sad from a "computer company"

Regardless of your opinion, the case says "Desired Resolution:
Refund: Refund" and that had already been in place before you even opened the case, and should be considered Closed now. We've added the captcha (in simplified terms, is a script on the site to help the page determine if entry is from a Human or a Bot) and submitted the refund. There's literally no more that we can do for you.
