I currently have a lease until December. In February I told them I was wanting to move out by the end of March. In my lease it says I can put in a 30 day notice to move out then I only have to keep the electricity on for 5 days after I turn the keys in. When I had picked up the 30 day notice paper I had told ***** that I had a friend that was wanting to take my lease over. She told me that isnt a thing and she would have to wait until I move out, wait until the inspection was done, then apply and wait to be approved which didnt make sense to me. A few days later when I turned the paper in on February 17th the other lady that works the front and told me Im still reliable for rent and have to keep the electricity on through December unless the unit rents out. She wrote in on the paper after I had signed it and turned it in. When it states I can turn in a 30 day notice to move and only have to keep the electricity on for 5 days. I think theyre trying to hustle me out of money. I had someone that wanted to take my lease over in February and they wouldnt let her take it over and now are gonna keep charging me when someone else could have already moved in a almost 2 months ago.
