    In April 2023, I had my wisdom teeth removed and a deep cleaning. I paid my portion upfront, as instructed, with the understanding that my insurance would cover the remaining balance. Since then, I have attended regular cleanings every three months without any mention of an outstanding balance.However, during my most recent visit, the new office manager unexpectedly informed me that I owed $500 and asked whether I wanted to pay in full or set up a payment plan. This was the first time I had heard of any balance dueI had never received a bill in the mail or been informed about it during previous visits.When I requested documentation, the office manager was dismissive and simply provided a document confirming my original $1,600 payment, along with another document showing that my insurance had only covered a small amount. The fact that this issue is being raised nearly two years later, without prior notice, feels highly suspicious.Given the lack of transparency and the unprofessional manner in which I was treated, I no longer feel comfortable returning to this facility. I will be reaching out to my insurance company, the dental board, and the Better Business Bureau to report these unethical billing practices.
