    Contracted for a ********** to be built but almost 5 months later it still isn't done. Contracted for a ********** to be built on 3/10/23. As of today, 6/28/23 the pool and spa are not finished. We have paid a total of $49,095 split in two payments. First payment was on 3/14/23 for $27,275.00 and the second payment was on 6/19/23 for $21,820.00. At the time of the agreement on 3/10/23, the contractor, ******************* / Caribbean Pools, told us it would take six weeks. Over the past few months he would send workers for a day or two after I complained to him. On 4/24/23, **** said the pool would take another 3 weeks weather permitting. There was some rain but not enough to cause a big delay. Each time I complain, **** tells me work will be done. He said people would be over to work but usually they wouldn't show. Overtime I begin to believe that **** / Caribbean Pools doesn't plan to ever finish the pool. On 5/23/23, I told **** that I don't think he is interested in finishing the pool. He again said they have plans to work on it which they did a couple of days later. When I questioned **** about the timeline when he stopped by to pick up the second payment, he got angry and said I had to pay him because it's in the contract. When we paid the second payment on 6/19/23, **** said the pool would be done by July 4th but since receiving that second payment there has been less than 8 hours of work done. On 6/28/23, I asked **** for a refund so that we can find someone to finish the pool. He has not responded to that request. I feel like **** / Caribbean pools did the minimum needed to get the second payment and doesn't plan to finish the pool. I feel like **** is a con man. I have told **** that I need the pool because of my disability. A pool is essential to managing my health. Because of a compromised immune system I can't use a public pool. Because of my arthritis a pool is the best exercise for mobility. **** says he understands but still doesn't finish the pool.
